How to stabilize GTA SA for PC for modding?

Ok, having some troubles getting this game to remain stable. I run Windows 8, intel core- i5 4690 3.5 ghz, GTXGeforce 970 4gb, and 16 gb of ram, and I purchased my copy off of Steam. I've always found this game incredibly unstable, what are the best methods I can use to minimize crashes? Because it usually crashes every 15-20 minutes, and sometimes crashes when switching to a certain radio station, which one varies. I already know of the modloader, Silent's Patch, Silent's asi loader, and CLEO 4. I know I need a downgrader and/or an alternative exe, but I'm not sure which one is the most up-to-date. I'd appreciate any help, this game has always been a nightmare for me, and I've never been tech-fix pro like a lot of online PC gamers.

First of all, don't install game at given path at C:\Program files , but anywhere else
and second: make copies of the whole game installations, minimum 3, better 10
Then read here and have fun with modding but keep always one unmodded copy
Mods you must have:
1. Modloader (best way to change model files)(asi loader required)
2. Cleo(script plugin)(asi loader required)
3. get a nice timecyc.dat, it's the basic game file for grafics
also the ENB extension as grafic enhancer, but it eats performance

Run gta_sa.exe with administrator, and W-XP sp.3 compatibility.

I did all of those, and it still crashes every 10-15 minutes I don't get why this game hates me lol

in which way did you do the downgrade?
i never needed to downgrade my gtasa, so i would prefer the hoodlum file from ThirteenAGs dropbox(needs then to rename the file)
then the asi loder, replace vorbisFile.dll and add vorbishooked.dll

ok, again, step by step,

take unmodded game installation and install the hoodlum file
test if game works, start new game instead loading savegame

then install asi loader vorbisFile.dll and vorbishooked.dll
(don't change anything else)
test if game works, start new game instead loading savegame

if not work, then it seems, that you have no luck to get it running on win8
i don't know if Silent's Patch can help, it have a lot fixies, just try it but don't change anything else

Mine also crash on playing bout 10-30 min . I had all the programs installed just like above..it just start crashing from yesterday..but it is normal no crashing before yesterday. Then i try to put out all the mod s i install yesterday from modloader but still crashing while playing awhile. Anyone has this problem before?
