Should players be off radar (debate)

Turn off blips as default, get Lester's reveal players ability available in free roam, charge $5000 for each use, which works for 3 minutes.

You can get a lot of sh*t done in three minutes.

if players are off radar it adds a sense of realism and mystery and it could be fun and interesting while bounty hunting e.g:you're outside someones apartment dressed like a normal npc hiding and then as soon as he gets in his car you stalk him and throw a sticky grenade without him noticing and BOOM! hes dead super awesome, what do u think?

Awesome. Just last night, I stole a station wagon, went off radar...pulled up next to a tank...fed him 5 stickies...casually drove away and then BOOM!

Had myself a good laugh.

Yeah that's the kinda fun i wish i could have and maybe you could hire investigators to track players and like most people are saying it should be a lobby option

Nah. It's a game, not real life.

I wouldn't be adverse to having a limit for it though. Maybe anything within an in game mile.

I have always said there should only be two types of lobbies, kill them all or passive only. Its that simple.

kill them all .......fulfills people that want pvp

Passive ........ car shows, driving around with friends.......ect

Non Funkable Token

So, if a jet is coming at you, you now would have no idea about it...?

I'm sure that'd solve the trolling issues people are already complaining about, lol.

-Bill

Jets should appear on your radar unless they are on the other side of the map. Helicopters too.

The vicinity range for them should be much larger than normal.

And the jet pilot would have no idea you're there. I'd say that about levels the playing field.

So, the jet sets his weapons to missiles and flies around the map until it locks on your car... You still have no idea he's even targeting you and while you're just driving, minding your own business... KABOOM!!!

He may not be able to see you initially... But, he sure as hell can target you without you even knowing that he's in the air, let alone on your ass.

Hence, my quote from later in the thread:

I might be convinced to be in favor of only seeing blips within a certain radius, unless in a vehicle that has a special blip (Jet, Tank, Chopper, etc) or doing a freeroam activity that encourages confrontation, but no blips at all? Might as well be playing in an invite only room.

Off the radar is a great thing (when used right and NOT spammed) and it was without a doubt better in the earlier days of GTAO. Back then if you went off the radar, it didn't announce it to the whole lobby. It was amazing. Now if you kind of want to be hidden you have to ghost org.

Either way, it makes for some amazing opportunities like this: http://xboxclips.com/Rooni/6b774a61-7f0d-40cb-8f3d-49ae3e222b1c

These BP helmet wearin', jet flyin' insurgent drivin', RPG launchin' and sticky tossin', schmucks were trying to make an escape in a brickade. While they were trying to swap cars, my and my fellow patch member were ghost org'd in a bobcat truck behind them...and sweet sweet revenge ejaculated all over them.

In my three years of playing GTAO.... I've shot down jet-kids, obliterated scrubs abusing BP helmet+ invisible body glitch, pooped on fools using explosives, auto shotguns, and miniguns (with just an assault rifle)....I've pushed countless MCs out of lobbies after 5+ hour long freemode wars

but NOTHING felt as satisfying as what happened in that clip. The sheer thoughts of what must of been going through their minds. It must of been something along the lines of
'hurr durr we rekt dem biker bois. lets get out of here nicca. oh shieeet what da fok jus kill me? wat dis bulllllshet?'

TL;DR: off radar is amazing and I recall a great memory of using it.
