The main issue with that fight is that the Lost MC members have access to melee weapons while you're stuck using just fists.

I don't think you should even be allowed to get that supply mission when you're by yourself. It's much easier with a group as you don't get pwned so easily.

I think those are reasonable objections to be honest.

 

I personally do not see the point.

Npcs barely start fist fighting, players will rather use their guns and when a fight involves more then 2 players it becomes a sh*tty lag fest.

I disagree. How is someone's assumption that Rockstar wont do it right a legitimate reason to not like the idea itself? Also, how is someone's hate for lag a good enough reason to prohibit EVERYONE from getting something new? I've had waaay more lag free fights than laggy ones. Why punish the majority when you have a bad connection or run into some bad connections? Also, nobody is forced to particapate. You can simply ignore it and continue doing the stuff you like and let those who are interested enjoy. I really dislike the "I dont like it so you shouldnt get it" way of thinking.

Yes he is right about the fight mechanics sucking hence this idea to "improve" it. However he is not right that since the current system sucks an improvement wont work. That literally makes zero sense and nothing more than an assumption yet you agree with him. You both suffer from the same misconception. Whats suggested in the OP improves what sucks. The flaw with your arguement is you're rebutal is based on the "current" system and not the "improvements" suggested in the OP which is what you should be judging.

 

As for the lag, you both seem to assume R* will do nothing at all about it. Will they make it 100% lag free. No but to assume there will be ZERO improvement is just reaching in order to find a reason to dis the idea. If you can provide any factual evidence that R* wouldnt improve the lag then your assumption would have weight. Until then you're just assuming which isnt a good arguement against the DLC. As far as your "I only had one lag free deathmatch" claim. Either your/friend's connection sucks or youre exaggerating to try and add weight to your arguement. All I do know is I mele fight all the time. I'm willing to bet way more than you and anyone in this thread and I just dont see the lag like you claim. Nowhere even close but hey if exaggerations and assumptions is what you want to base your "no thanks" off of then by all means.

It woudl be cool if just like we can change our walking style, we coule also choose from many fighting styles, even if these are largely the same function wise.

 

Something like the following (basically the fighting styles from GTA: SA + GTA IV) could be good:

 

- Street fighting (current one)

- Boxing

- Kung Fu

- Muay Thai

- Krav Maga

 

Now if there's a whole DLC that revamps fighting and melee in this game, I'm all for it!

^ Arrives in the same package: They could add more melee weapons with special abilities like the recent Stone Hatchet, a Chainsaw among them, no doubt.

 

And open jobs like contact missions for these functions, while they're at it.

lol  I hear you man but they could definitely add a "grind" aspect to it.  They could use the same exact model as with nightclubs (a legit business that's used as cover for your illegal ones).  We could be required to promote the gym and sell things out of it just like the nightclub.  Business Battles for the night club could also be rehashed into something that is related to the gyms.

I'm with it. Back in 2014 a group of my friends would go to one spot and fight 1v1. Of course we would had rules and all but it was cool while it lasted.
