My verdict: 2/10 Pro's: Good and original story, no online, more freedom of choice. Con's: Extremely dumbed down, glitches, repetetive missions. Unfortunately, xrayvision, exploading cars, massacre of kuklux clan, redicilous gunfights and poor AI, to many HUD elements, and ''brutal takedowns'' along with bugs and glitches makes the game a laughing fest. Takedowns was a good idea in itself - but as most features in the game, it is extraggerated; you literally feel like John Rambo when you use the feature rather than a gangster. The game is also extremely easy in every sense. If the game was not called ''Mafia'' I would rate it 7/10 but because the game is called Mafia and departs from the original formula, I give it 2/10. Pros A compelling & well-written story with some top notch dialogue & cinematics. Brilliant Soundtrack. Solid gunplay & hand to hand combat. enjoyable & brutal stealth. Pretty atmospheric location which was interesting to explore. The main story missions were mostly entertaining. One of the better open world games when it comes to driving. Cons It has some bugs Objectives in between missions were repetitive. There's not much to do after the story is complete. I'll say an 8.5 or 9. It may sound strange, is it really? The reason why I played Mafia is because the franchise represents a particular genre, style, and formula. Mafia 3 circumvents this genre in a way that makes the game to a completely different beast. The fact that I have been waiting six years for the game cause me to feel resentment as well. For casual gamers, who just pick and play like mostly anything, this may not matter - and they don't have to eagerly wait for six years either - they can just jump on another train. Then I must say that Hangar 13 does the same tiresome move like any other game company: copy and paste the popular features from other games - and they do it by a wide margin - and like every other gaming company, they call that ''innovation''. Lemoyne outlaw Posted October 26, 2016 Share Posted October 26, 2016 why is there two 9/10s in the poll? anyway i gave it a 9/10 pros awsome storyline with great characters. vito is back. fun combat and driving. big open world map with diverse areas. huge amount of interiors and they are all open not locked. great soundtrack. fun stealth usually i hate stealth but this time it was fun to challenge myself to try not to get compromised and not use much ammo. it felt really rewarding to stealthily kill everyone and not have to use a single bullet. intel mode i dont care if people call it wall hacks they put it in the game so i used it alot. cons lack of joe barbaro less italian feel even if the marcanos are italian they never really sounded like it. some minor bugs and wierd looking sky sometimes. no clothes custimization which sucks because i love clothes customization in games. lack of car customization and csr storage. overall i love this game and totally reccomend it. i know it is not perfect i havent played the pc version so i cant speak for that i know they have been having issues with it. but i would say its still solid game especially since it dosent have a multiplayer with crappy shark cards. im also looking forward to the singleplayer dlc and the post launch content. ps no joe barbaro?? what were they thinking. pre order cancelled!!!
