QallMeQ
I know many renders of beta-vehicles have been ripped from the Captital Autos teasersite. But the HD-render of the supposed Brigham and a render in style of the Capital Autos-render didn't come from said website, did they? Could somebody clarify the origins of these images? I know the Brigham-render has been used in some previews and the Ambulance-render was on Gouranga!. But how did the fanbase get their hands on the Brigham-render and where did Gouranga! get their hands on the Ambulance-render? Does somebody know? Also, a slight follow-up question which just might be answered with the questions asked above; where did the name ''Brigham'' originate from? The renders I'm talking about:
thatstupidbug
I know i'm not answering your question, but i was wonderign what kind of building were reflected on the car. it is a placeholder or some beta place?
Szironator
The Brigham name was used for a car in GTA1, referencing the Cadillac Brougham. However, the rendered car is based on a Chevrolet Caprice.
Mr.Kurowski
AFAIK the gouranga guy was pretty good friend with those guys at R*. Dan Houser even answered their questions about GTA3D (back in 2000 or so) via email. They confirmed the developement of the game or something. QallMeQ
Thanks for your answers! I know i'm not answering your question, but i was wonderign what kind of building were reflected on the car. it is a placeholder or some beta place? The only thing I can think of is the museum/town hall, but that's just something that comes to my mind. I'd have to check that in-game or use the mapviewer. But, to my knowlodge, this render was around so early in development of the game the place might indeed not exist anymore or never have existed. The Brigham name was used for a car in GTA1, referencing the Cadillac Brougham. However, the rendered car is based on a Chevrolet Caprice. Of course! The name already rang a bell! But is the Brigham name given to the green car by R* or the fanbase? AFAIK the gouranga guy was pretty good friend with those guys at R*. Dan Houser even answered their questions about GTA3D (back in 2000 or so) via email. They confirmed the developement of the game or something. Hmm, seems feasible , is this just a personal/common theory or is this confirmed (and if so, where?)? Edited October 26, 2016 by QallMeQ
Mr.Kurowski
Well it was on the gouranga site (old news archive that Dan Houser answered his questions about GTA3D developement, and it indeed confirmed the game's in developement. Also the site's on every GTA manual (special thanks) so that might mean something as well. Hope i cleared out for you. (y)
Jeansowaty
I did hear somewhere that the name of the Brigham was just adopted by the fanbase. In my opinion it looks a bit more like an 80's Impala though.
