Fastest Bikes

A bike is faster than the other depending on both its specs and the driver. For instance, the Akuma is not quite the fastest bike, but many people including myself have won countless races with it because it's got creat acceleration and almost top-speed. If you can drive it right, it sure can be faster and better from point-to-point than other slightly faster bikes (with worse acceleration and/or handling).

I also bought the Vortex yesterday and I think that one performs very well, too. I'd recommend the Akuma if you're a good all-around motorcycle driver.

I've been using the Drag in races, tho I find it irritatingly bouncy and unpredictable in the Stunt races.
The new Vortex performs much like the Akuma, with less ability to wheelie, and last night won several races with it.

Both the Drag and Vortex seem to be the fastest of the new bikes, though the Akuma keeps up just fine with both.

Lastly, as for new bikes, I've been happy with the BF400 and Cliffhanger for just tooling around and going over mountains, rooftops, and cars.
I should add that I sold that crappy Chimera last night, too. While it looks great, it's just painful to actually ride outside of an Invite Only session.

Cheers!

The hak drag is not the fastest bike, several bikes exceed it's top speed, but rarely do they come out on top if it's not on a long straight (i even won several races with it against the mainstream bikes on afterburner, which is as straight as it gets). If you want to get to places fast, cross country, allies, up hills, mountains like its just another road, take the drag bike. It's not the fastest, but it is the quickest. And the most fun if i may say so myself.

Wouldn't really recommend the drag for races from what i saw...i regularly got beat by bati's and akumas. Also u cant wheelie so its a pain in the arse getting about in free roam on it.

Bati is my favorite because it is versatile. It really shines on slow corners and simple corner-straight-corner tracks.

Akuma is good for long corners, complex corners, and the tubes, so the stunt races in general. Also offroad and short tracks.

Hakuchou Drag is nice in traffic, complex corners, and high speed corners, i.e. traction tracks.

Hakuchou is good for long, perfect straights and simply as few corners as possible without traffic.

Just guessing but the Shotaro will probably be a best of both worlds combination of Akuma and Drag, meaning it is good anywhere there are corners.

My own personal testing on dipping in I managed to get inside 2:03:00 using the drag...2 seconds faster a lap than my previous pb in the bati.

Thing is while you can't physically wheely it still goes faster both when you pull back and push forward on the analog stick.

Indeed...hakuchou drag...but the shotaro will destroy it.

Hakuchou regular for...yup....you guessed it....drag racing.

So yea...just wait it out.

Gargoyle beats them ALL

LOL

Hakuchou Drag is the fastest right now but it's harder to master, my all around favorite is still the Bati 801 or Bati 801RR. Akuma & Vortex can also win you some races depending on your driving style!

I'm with this guy.

I don't know game file stats wise, but I still swear by my regular Hakuchou.

I do like that you get a better speed boost from the Drag by crouching down since you have better control as opposed to a wheelie. Also, it looks F*cking stupid doing a wheelie to go faster. I'm not good at physics, but does it work like that? I mean, wouldn't you get more air resistance by raising up your bike as opposed to croushing down to reduce it?

Also, on topic, when it comes to the fastest, it's not just the top speed, but also its agility that comes in place. *sigh* I miss the time when the PCJ600 was the fastest bike.
