GTA always wants to put me in friends' lobby

Since the new updates, i noticed that in the morning when my friends are offline i can always get into nice busy lobbies with many players in, but afternoon it always puts me to my friends and they are usually alone in the session grinding money. When i try to switch session it puts me to my other friends or to a solo session, sometimes it even freezes.

I wanna go after other players, have some fun, not waste my time with useless drive abouts.

Any idea how to fix it? i play on xb1.

I have never experienced this personally, however every time I come across threads like these or people who have experienced this, it usually stops eventually. I don't think there's a proper solution to it other than waiting and it should go back to normal.

Remove your friends from your friendlist, that's the only solution.

Or just keep spamming find new session, that should also work.

Inb4: ''But that's not a solution at all!'' Well there ain't nothing else you can do about it.

It even says in the loading screen that it will automatically look for a session with your friends in them, if that can't be found it will look for a session with crew members.

If the Xbone is anything like the PS4, you'll still be put in with friends, since they still count as being on your friends list in GTA, regardless of online appearance.

I don't know how it works on the PS4 to be honest, but setting yourself to appear offline seemingly doesn't do anything for the in-game matchmaking.

Something that work at least on pc is to do an activity (mission , race,....) and when the vote screen appear vote for free mode and you are done

Great tip about appearing offline on XB1 and I'll give that ago. Don't mind being put in to sessions with my actual friends but I'm getting pretty bored of the empty sessions containing one random crew member which I seem to get loaded in to repeatedly at the moment.

The party system in xb1 is intrusive. It's really annoying sometimes ("your party started a new session", "your party has started a job")... It works but often at the worst times it supersedes what the user wants.

i always appear offline. it doesnt solve my problem. i guess i could cut my friend list, but i dont wanna delete everyone. so it would not help me either. im trying to host a deathmatch now see what happens

In the old days it was,"Why can't I ever join my friend's lobby?"

 

Now it's,"Why am I always put into my friend's lobby?"

 

Rockstar just can't win.
