Mach1bud
Is the bike better than Akuma on racing? I don't mean by max speed, but in terms of acceleration, steering, etc. Which one would win on a regular, non-drag, race? Yes. fw3
It is, indeed, excellent for racing as the speed outperforms the Akuma, but only slightly. Note, though, that it's bouncy and unpredictable, especially in Stunt races. If using for racing, I might recommend trying out the new Vortex. It's much like the Nemesis, but with the Akuma's speed (in my opinion). As for a fun, all-around tooling bike, I recommend the BF400, which I'm having lots of fun with. coelacanth72
There's a lot to commend the drag for racing, mainly (as others have mentioned) you don't have to wheelie, so on most tracks you can get more frequent, if less powerful speed boosts. That said, I'm still whipping the drag on my 801. The hack gets an early lead but I reel them in pretty quick after the first couple of turns. For long straits the old hack is still faster on one wheel. It's a great bike but you don't need it for racing. Try the vortex before you buy, it doesn't wheelie either and is more rounded in performance, but also not necessary if you've got bati or akuma. I had to have the vortex but I want to see how the rest of this update shakes out before I get anything else.
Jammsbro
Defo get it. It is insane at getting around in and takes off and brakes like a demon. Once you get the hang of it you are moving around the map faster than anything. According to Broughy it isn't the flat out fastest in a straight line but it is the fastest for moving and racing. I didn't like mine at first but now it is the only thing I get out of the garage unless I need protection. Absolutely get it.

MechanicMammal
It's not perfect but still it's fun, fast, and good looking. People say it's faster than the Akuma in races but so far I'm not getting the same results. My Akuma personal best on my favorite test track is under 4 minutes. I only tried my Drag on the track one time but it was a 4:04. With practice it should do a lot better, but to my taste it doesn't handle nearly as well as the Akuma (I can't wait to try the new bike they released today). But oh my lort it is fast in a straight line. Feels like I'm riding a Saturn 5 rocket. O_O I was kinda hoping yesterdays bike would be a contender I tested all my sports bikes yesterday just 10 laps on the normal cutting coroners I tested a Bati, Akuma, Hak Drag, yesterdays one and the Defiler. I am not the fastest hot lapper in the world but I am OK and I try to avoid curbs etc when test lapping so it wont be record breaking levels but, The Defiler and the new bike were pretty close on lap times in the 53 second range. The Bati and Akuma I was getting high 51's (but I am more used to these bikes) And the Hak Drag was the fastest for me with a low 50s lap and I never really felt like I had got the best out of it and feel that I could make it go faster maybe a even a 48sec lap. But I did find that I was most consistent using the Akuma and over 10 laps it provided the quickest total race time for me. So in my opinion yeah the Drag is worth it until the Tron bike is released at least. Forza Harrd
Hellbendzor
-snip- It's literally the quickest ground vehicle in the game Really? It just doesn't seem as fast. I think it's mostly because the bike is so stable compared to the normal version of it as it wheelies to get its speed boost while this one just sticks to the ground. You mean quickest as in acceleration, yes? It does accelerate like crazy. @Hell: I gave the leaning forward thing a shot but it still seems slow to me, despite adding engine, trans and turbo. It has to be me, though, as I've been playing Horizon 3 non-stop and makes anything in GTA seem a bit slower than what I remember them being. Still, it's a fun bike and looks great. I did however do test runs on the highway by myself. Having a friend on another bike will help me see that it is the fastest vehicle in-game....euh, quickest. Sorry if I misled anyone. It's worth giving a shot and judging for yourself, especially since it's on special. You haven't misled anyone... Just stating your valid personal opinion... I recommended it to a friend, especially with this discount, but when he pulled the trigger he absolutely hated it,ehhe... He forgot the leaning forward speed'trick' as well, but still he hated it. Personal taste... :-) For me it's a special bike and it's fast... Very very useful for freeroam travelling, when you're sick of the Buzz, but don't want to spent too much time in between things... BTW, almost as fast as a Buzzard, if you consider the taking off/landing time of that lil bugger... And when Oleg recommends it, you can be certain (in the right hands) it's fast and useable for racing/time trials...

JesusFR33K
You can currently buy 4 dragcoochicoo's for the same as 1 shotaro. They both look sweet imo, but the dragcoochicoo is grounded in reality, where the shotaro is in the same class as the X80. The dragcoochicoo's has a lot more customization also, but the shotaro can glow like the motor on the vortex.
trhacker01
I didn't like it at all at first, felt very underwhelming, but after the upgrades I love it. Worth it at full price imo
Zoop_Leroy
Hakuchou drags are setting most of the fastest lap times on the current premium race. It's dominant on tracks like Nightlife, while the Bati performs better on tracks with huge jumps (Afterburner, Trench 1, etc).

M*A*R*I*N*A
Just bought one and don't like the handling I'll be selling it once sale is over Same. I bought it when it first came out and it sucked. I'll be getting the Shotaro instead. Hakuchou drags are setting most of the fastest lap times on the current premium race. It's dominant on tracks like Nightlife, while the Bati performs better on tracks with huge jumps (Afterburner, Trench 1, etc). If you drive right and know the tricks, the Akuma smashes all other bikes out of the ball park.
We Are Ninja
IDGAF about top speed or lap times. All I care about is how good it looks, and how engaging it is to ride. ...And I have four of them (and might pick up a fifth since they're on sale). The bike is sex. It's not the sharpest in the claas, but it's fast AF and it's sexy AF. Forza Harrd
