Hackuchou Drag, worth buying it?

Well, it is the fastest land vehicle in the game by a mile. But that's about all there is to it.

I only have it for races.

Well when the Tron bike releases, it's $2.5 million, take 25k, and it does handle better than the Hakuchou Drag. It will be faster than the H. Drag too, but ultimately nobody can really tell you what to do. Maybe when sales are on, it's as good a time as any to get them and perhaps between now and when the Shotaro is finally released, you'll have that extra cash and garage space anyway.

Buy it, its cheap around 80-90K

While the tron bikes will be in the millions range

and the Hackuchou is the fastest bike and it generally looks amazing.

The OP was asking about the Hakuchou Drag.

Shotaro is supposedly quicker on a circuit and with better handling.

Personally I like the unique way the Drag handles and I love how it looks too. I think the Shotaro looks f*cking horrid but I'll be getting one anyway and trying to pollish it up as best as possible, just for its performance merrits.

no, just wait for the shotaro to be released...it will be more expensive, but way faster

I bought it, doesn't seem to be that fast. It stops on a dime, though, so you can take tight corners way faster than others who have to slow down which is ironic considering this bike is a drag version of itself. Doesn't do wheelies (unless you hit a bump at low speed) and doesn't accelerate as fast as it should. I'm pretty disappointed with it, to be honest, but it's still a sweet bike and definitely something out of the ordinary. Tight on cash? Don't buy it. There's better bikes out there.

FWIW check out the Time Trial threads, it's all Hak Drag.

It's literally the quickest ground vehicle in the game 😛

I'd buy it on the basis that it's an extremely sexy and fast bike which will get a lot of regular use. It's great not to have to wheelie to get it to perform. The Shotaro is hyped to be faster but in my eyes it's a steaming pile of sh*t looks wise so it won't be coming anywhere near any of my garages.

Instead of wheelie-tricking for extra speed, with this bike you have to lean forward/crouch to have the speed-increase. Due to that, personally I find

its handling better than constantly wheelie-ing/readjusting with the other bikes.

I would retry and then re-evaluate your opinion. It's lightning fast, but this time around without any hassle. When shotaro comes around and kicks it off its thrown, we'll cross that bridge when we get there. I prefer its looks over the Shotaro, although I'll still get one of those as well..

To OP... I would make use of the discount, it's a great bike with special (and in some cases easier) handling...

Yes. It's superior in less technical tracks and gets you to paint A to point B in free-roam real quick. The Shotaro will probably shut it down in racing... in the right hands.

Above Omnipotence

It's the quickest around a technical track but, not the fastest in a straight line.

I got 2, probably getting more

the HD is the best thing to hit GTA since the T20

much like the T20, while other things excell here and there, the HD is overall supreme

it's the only thing i drive nowdays. if i happen to drive something else, like the new vortex i got yesterday, i start feeling guilty, as if i'm cheating or something, and look for the lamest excuse to switch back to the HD

the first 5 mins on it i wanted to cry, how such a cool looking bike has such peculiar handling, but i quickly got used to it, and all the other bikes are ruined forever now.

words just don't cut it. Its beyond awesomeness.

I have it, but still prefer the Bati 801. Am waiting to see how this Tron bike turns out.

If you race, the drag is probably a must have, but the Bati is superior for missions and free roam. It can turn much faster and sharper, can wheelie over guard rails (drag cant even wheelie) and is still ridiculously fast.

I'd say keep your money and wait for the tron bike, unless you just have loads of money and want to have it.

No. The Shotaro will ruin the motorcycles class.

it won't, it's like when igg1 came out and it was zentorno vs osiris. i'm personally gonna keep both draguchou and shotaro but if you're kinda low on money then draguchou is a must have.

-snip-

Really? It just doesn't seem as fast. I think it's mostly because the bike is so stable compared to the normal version of it as it wheelies to get its speed boost while this one just sticks to the ground. You mean quickest as in acceleration, yes? It does accelerate like crazy.

@Hell: I gave the leaning forward thing a shot but it still seems slow to me, despite adding engine, trans and turbo. It has to be me, though, as I've been playing Horizon 3 non-stop and makes anything in GTA seem a bit slower than what I remember them being. Still, it's a fun bike and looks great. I did however do test runs on the highway by myself. Having a friend on another bike will help me see that it is the fastest vehicle in-game....euh, quickest.

Sorry if I misled anyone. It's worth giving a shot and judging for yourself, especially since it's on special.

Is the bike better than Akuma on racing? I don't mean by max speed, but in terms of acceleration, steering, etc. Which one would win on a regular, non-drag, race?

It's not perfect but still it's fun, fast, and good looking.

People say it's faster than the Akuma in races but so far I'm not getting the same results. My Akuma personal best on my favorite test track is under 4 minutes. I only tried my Drag on the track one time but it was a 4:04. With practice it should do a lot better, but to my taste it doesn't handle nearly as well as the Akuma (I can't wait to try the new bike they released today).

But oh my lort it is fast in a straight line. Feels like I'm riding a Saturn 5 rocket. O_O
