I can hear the case for the Pisces, but I don't have one and have never even been on one, so I just don't feel like I can downvote the Aquarius for something I haven't experienced.

It does sound interesting though, I might even have to downgrade (or is technically upgrade?) if some of what people say is true about it being better.

"Better" is an opinion that's formed from more than just the price.

I have one of each and I like them both, but my primary character has the Aquarius, which I like better. Many differences are visual preferences, but some can be objectively evaluated

 

For Piracy Prevention, the Pisces is typically the better option because of the location of the canvas, especially the one that covers the lido deck behind the bridge, which forces attacking players to enter from the sides or aft openings to the deck. Still, there are ways to defend an Aquarius and attack a Pisces that ignores those advantages. Also, not everyone does PP regularly.

 

The Aquarius has a bug that if you look at the bridge windows from inside the boat (from the bar area) the sloped windows are invisible and you see the bridge of the Pisces... and the Orion. I prefer the look of the sloped windows and others don't.

 

The mast is different on all three yacht models. The Pisces is a rear-angled tall mast and the Aquarius has a shorter, more complicated/advanced-design mast. Aesthetics, mostly, but it can be easier or more difficult to fly around (or for others to fly around).

 

Shade canvas: The Pisces has less canvas and at least one poster said it looked more "sporty" or "fast". I don't disagree, but the yachts never actually move. Even the cutscenes when you change location move the camera, not the yacht. I considered the yachts to be luxury; more Rolls Royce than Lamborghini, so I prefer the "party boat" look of moored lux and entertainment than a 900+ ton "speed machine".

 

The included vehicles are the easiest "apple-to-apple" comparison between the models:

 

The Pisces has the Swift Deluxe and the Aquarius has the Supervolito Carbon

• The Swift is faster in a straight line, but is heavier than the Supervolito and somewhat less maneuverable and has a larger rotor diameter (similar, but not as pronounced as the Savage/Buzzard comparison). The Pisces' Swift also has an irritating bug that may kick the owner out when you first get in and becomes unusable.
• The Supervolito is almost as fast, but takes practice to land as it's surprisingly tail-heavy and the skid landing gear absorbs less landing shock than the (retractable) wheels of the Swift.

The Pisces has the Speeder and the Aquarius has the Toro. The Speeder is much faster than the Toro and has a smaller turning radius. While the Aquarama boats are beautiful in real life, the Toro looks like a bloated whale (to me) without the benefit of being able to cut through rough surf as the lower-freeboard Speeder.

 

The Pisces has two Seasharks and the Aquarius has four. Do you need so many? Do large-ish groups of players routinely steal all your jetskis? Do you like to see a larger chain-explosion when you fire a rocket at a quartet of watercraft?

 

Another consideration is whether you already own some of these vehicles. I already owned a Swift Deluxe and a (free, at the time) Speeder and I didn't own the Supervolito and overpriced Toro. I'd rather have access to more vehicles than re-buy access to what I already had.

 

That's just my 2 cents.

It's all a matter of opinion though, I've been on both and am thinking of buying the Pisces for my second only to have a different boat not because I think it's better. Players go on and on about which is technically better but it's only their views.

 

It's like the argument about what office is better, it all depends on the players needs and wants. We all know Lombank is the best office but players will still defend maze bank tower to the end. Yet there is nothing wrong with the maze bank west office at all. For value some would say it's the best.

 

Damn ash-274 defiantly put more effort and thought it his two cents 🖒. I basically said it's up to the user.. those are some good points about the vehicles though because I can relate to that.
