GTA ONLINE New ban policy.

^ Yeah, they made an update to their useless anti-cheat and it caused loads of people to get banned for running FPS counters and recorders or overlays. Stupid.

 

Well nobody could do anything against it. Rockstar Games saved their a$$ with the EULA. They can stop gta online access any time they want.

We live in a pretty fu**ed up world.

 

Yeah unfortunately. I'm not even sure how far your legal statutory rights would go so far to say 'you paid for a product you can't use' and how far you'd even get with that approach. Of course, company policy is one thing but legislation that overrules it is another, but then is going down that road over £40 GBP really worth it?

It's happened. Rockstar has fallen into the "I make no mistakes, you will be punished no matter what" trap.

This company is turning to trash. Glad I'm not interested in anybof their other crap outside of older games and Online.

 

Yep I could see this happening when they introduced the new ban. The worst part for cornelius is that he was a legit player aside from the one mistake that got him the ban plus he was banned before the new policy started yet still stands to lose all his progress.Well Rockstar was one of the last companies left that I respected when it came to games. Slowly but surely they've developed to be just as bad as the rest. This is the nail in the coffin.

I just wonder though about the "no appeals" thing... let's just say hypothetically that anyone that picks up modded money gets banned/ suspended.

 

So a person purchases the game for PC in December 2016, and has money rained on him - a fair bit, but no more than a couple of million - and later finds they're account is either wiped and reset or has a temporary suspension.

 

 

I've read a lot about modded money on here but I've never seen it in the game. Is it just on PC? I'm on PS4 but do I just need to avoid picking up any money at all in case it's glitched?

If I was you I would ring them. I'm pretty sure anything related to banning gets instantly closed. Ringing them will make them take ownership. Be polite but persistent. If you don't get anywhere try contacting [email protected]

I was there today, I have been laughing all day. people saying they don't cheat but keep their stats private. If it is all legit then you have nothing to hide. This has been a growing trend on xbox they hide their achievements so you can't see their stats but leave their videos open to show the modded money.

R* themselves have stated before that receiving modded money will not earn you a ban or anything, you may have the money removed but that's about it. They are not going to ban you for something that you yourself have literally no way of preventing happening to yourself.

R* themselves have stated before that receiving modded money will not earn you a ban or anything, you may have the money removed but that's about it. They are not going to ban you for something that you yourself have literally no way of preventing happening to yourself.

 

They also said they wouldn't fix harmless glitches such as the gate launch glitch. Then again, it could be a case of accidental fix, but I dunno. These days you have to be ready for higher up flip-flopping.

I will not allow myself to be taken in by the sociopathic position of those claiming to be victims when they are nothing other than the enemy of online video gaming.

 

I'm not interested in hearing garbage misinformation about how some kid claims he was banned wrongly.

 

The people who play the game as it is intended to be played and avoid wrongdoing do not get banned.

 

I LOVE knowing that the worthless clowns who ruin the online gaming community are having their characters reset. It is not a tough punishment but it is a start.

 

The only true justice would be a permanent PSN, IP address, and home address ban.

 

They should find the systems, connect them to the ISP and billing address, and cut off PSN support for that physical address.

 

That would be FAIR.

It has and it can, like others here have said.

 

I know a while back, the only things Rockstar Games couldn't remove were your apartments & garages and Pegasus vehicles, but that has likely changed now too.

And whilst it's been their policy since 2014 not to ban the innocent players when money is rained on them, there are some people who have been banned for that. Now some people may not believe how innocent others purport to be, but when someone says (within the last couple of months) that they had money rained on them, and a little over two hours later they had a ban message pop up - well that sort of goes hand-in-hand.
