Literally the first session I got put in had several level 6000s and above going on rampage.

And a big laugh at people who say you need money to grief, oh boy you couldn't be more wrong. It enables tools but surely doesn't stop griefing.

 

 

Also... A bypass for a money wipe lel.

nobody send u need it but money certainly prolongs a spammer/griefers life. Youre just seeing the remnants of their modded mills. Give it time

I read so many comments about how this will stop griefing, do you realise that a jet griefer who wants to use a jet most likely has one by now and it costs him $200 to call it which he can get from running over a few peds or mugging someone.

Two very separate groups of things.

 

Griefing or any of that, costs what? A one time purchase of 3mil for a Hydra? Complete the heists one time legitimately and you've got that without much trouble. Uhh spamming things like Ghost Org, BST, explosives? Literally none of those cost more than the take away from pretty much any money making activity. Win a race, win a deathmatch, win a survival, do some CEO work, complete a MC contract, do a contact mission, do a single heist setup as crew member, hell do the daily objectives.

 

I suppose I could understand people gloating over this, but it's not really going to change anything. Rockstar has proven entirely ineffectual at stopping continued use of hacks, scrips, mod menus, whatever you want to call em. They won't ban people for getting money from someone else as it's basically impossible to have that in a EULA agreement. They can only really ban people for doing things themselves like using dll injectors and mod menus. Just draining the bank accounts of erroneous money is functionally pointless. Spamming hydras all day, because everyone has bought the hydra at this point, is a cost that can get soaked by literally next to no effort. One instance of doing sightseer as a CEO/VIP and you've got 20k that's enough for a hundred Hydra call in's. Do PSB finale as a crew member once and you've got 10 or more Ghost organizations to grief with.

 

The large sums of money basically were there to allow people to buy clubhouses, businesses, offices, and warehouses. That and 50 2-3 million dollar supercars. I really don't understand the whole "yeeeaahhaha fk those guys" mentality when it's going to have zero actual impact on the quality of the game you're playing.

This will simply decrease the already dwindling number of everyday players even further. I've got over $100m legit, about $150m through other means, and it benefits the game as a whole. I'll help basically everyone without getting a cut of a heist etc. This is really just ill thought out by Rockstar, period. I mean, it would make sense if they removed a lot of that cash, say, leave people with $25m, but all the way to zero? Stupidity, folks.

i sold my PS3, but if they're going for that cheap i might get another one. PvP in this game is stupid af either way, but somehow modded combat rolls were a lot more tolerable than seeing some doofus sliding across the pavement non-stop like a f*cking drift car.

No. A level 1 can steal a Lazer and terrorize the whole lobby.

I have a friend that is level 6ish and does that all the time. It's just one example.

You don't need money to grief, you just need to understand how the game works.

And, if someone will spam rockets/ghost, he will do it nevertheless. And if you don't have money you play 10 ceo missions etc. and you are good for a bit.

If they focused as much on making a good community game instead of making us work as a CEO for money as they did for targeting cheaters I bet we would have a really good game.

If players didn't hack and use modded accounts to 'cheat' R* wouldn't be forced to invest time and resources into an anti-cheat team which could yield more productivity on game content.

 

yea but to be fair, what is cheating in this game and what is not is so vague as f*ck and so easy as f*ck they should just have had dedicated servers with an anti-cheat system from the start.

 

3 years to late. Plus, a dedicated cheater will have a new account up and running in. Minutes.

No, no they won't because Rockstar stopped last-gen transfers unless a player files a support ticket and Rockstar reviews it before making the transfer.

Yep modded account wipe is real. Reports are coming in from modded outfit wipes, modded car wipes, Rank wipe, money wipes, all kinds of sh*t and it's random what gets wiped depending on individual accounts. I bet there will be a lot less people playing GTAO soon. R* just culled half their player base.

They really didn't, I'd be amazed if 0.1% of accounts were touched in any way. Just because loads of people who hang out on GTA (glitching) forums got wiped, it doesn't extrapolate out to the general population. Dave Trucker won't even know this happened.

Making a _good_ modded account is art man. You can count the people that can paint a garage of good RGB cars on one hand. It took me like 20 hours to make mine last time, just painting!.

i think people under estimate how many accounts out there are modded. But I guess you're right, lobbies still seem full to me.

I don't underestimate the amount of modded accounts, probably of the order of 100,000 or so, but you have to remember they sold a metric sh*t-ton of copies of this game.

To do 30 cars, 60 if you have 2 characters is an art form using the different textures, RGB and Plates plus changing vehicle IDs if you want CG vehicles... Don't forget painting all the bicycles as well..

This isn't some weak modded account where the kid is Rank 500 but all his skills stats aren't even 1 bar.

yup that's why I won't be mad if I do get a money wipe you can always get more cash but not the paint jobs, I got burned out though lol
