what was the weirdest glitch you encountered in single player?

today after finishing a few missions as michael i switched to franklin and i had him steal a mini issi after chatting with a female npc as soon as he got into the mini issi she opened the passenger door and the door fell off and she was thrown a few feet leaving me thinking "WTF??".

after that it displays an error for one second and again loads but infinitly

earlier today i was in sandy shores as franklin i robbed the 24/7 store and i got killed by cops and when i respawned i talked to the female cop at the sheriff's station and the lspd cops who where still near the 24/7 store saw me and shot and killed me.

and when i respawned again i tried to take a selfie with the female cop and she called me a punk and shot killed me!

Literally just today I completed Fresh Meat, and for some reason "The Wrap Up" became available - along with "The Ballad of Rocco" and the mission that introduces you to the FIB Raid.

went into pacific standard public depository bank to get into vault, went with franklin near white door which is locked upstairs, went there with michael and got into vault.

Then after some photo session inside vault and around it started exiting vault area when suddenly *vrooom* vrooom* *vrooom* starts sounding and its awfully similar to michael's car, before entering i left car in front of stairs of bank entrance!

as i get back to the locked white door i see tailgater of michael behind it and him being very pissed when can't drive through wall and then starts talking with franklin, i accept the drink request hoping i get door open, but when starting selfie mode on snapmatic michael teleports inside bank, had to kill both to end this madness...LOL!

I was trudging through the parachute missions and I had just reached one of the desert ones outside Grapeseed. As I arrived, a random encounter triggered which involved a police officer chasing a fugitive. I put a bullet or six in him and noticed the helicopter had taken off, circling around me. My radar was displaying it as a bold red spot as if it was a Lost MC van, for example. I stayed in the area for a while and it appeared that the helicopter didn't know whether to land or follow me, constantly changing direction. It wasn't until I left the area that the mission reset and the helicopter reappeared. I wasn't sure if it had something to do with how the game handles random encounter scripts and whether the helicopter pilot is in the same category.

I've never really had any major glitches (at least not that I can remember). Though, during the mission where Trevor drives to the Lost MC campground, I was not able to exit his truck. I waited a few minutes, spamming the "Y" button, and he wouldn't exit. I eventually just had to reload my save (which was frustrating, considering that it's one of the longer missions in the game).

On the subject of that, I have noticed some issues with certain scripted dialogue in missions, such as crashing violently during a line a character says. This usually causes them to shout in surprise and resume their line from the beginning. Some missions may rely on a set amount of text to be delivered before you're allowed to progress so it could have been an issue there.

 

Speaking of glitches (though I don't even know if this counts), I have encountered the message "this mission has been disrupted, try again later" a couple of times. I don't know what caused either instance but sometimes I've had to leave the area at least two or three times before I'm allowed to begin.

that is weird ya'll having glitches and game breaking bugs in missions?! Oly glitch i ever had with mission was Wrap up heli which shoots at michael upon leaving roof area and after trevor shot it down it simply stays half-dead or if you manually kill it with shots the mission was stuck and retry after killing trevor via grenade ended with michael being dead if pilot got shot correctly but that mission is popular for glitches.

yet 3 other times i finished the game i had completely glitch-free game play (including every side mission) i must be lucky AF for having such good experience with that games story?

I got the flying glitch by accident before it was patched.

 

I was driving a motorbike down a hill, hit something and flew off. I pulled back with the analog stick just as I was about to land on a fence by some house at West Winewood or Rockford Hills. Began to fly and I think I flew for like 10-15 minutes before I deciced to try what happens when I land again.

 

It was pretty much like flying in the mission where Michael is drugged by Jimmy, minus the visual effect of course. Later I learned to do it consistently, until it was patched.

I think I know the glitch you mean. There was a glitch a few years ago that involved driving a vehicle into a fence. This glitch would cause the vehicle to be catapulted into the air. Unfortunately, I think Rockstar might have already patched this.

Once a coyote got stuck in Trevor's bodhi wheels and the vehicle started bouncing all over the place until it got smashed against a lightpost and exploded.

 

Also, the sea got split once, kinda like a gap or water vag.

Not really a glitch but audio issues. NPCs talking in one voice when talking to other NPCs but then using a completely different other voice when you talk to them.

I found a driver-less car going around in circles in a parking lot at the Port of LS, it eventually hit a wall and managed to flip itself over. This was waaay back in the primitive days when I played on Xbox 360, so it's probably not the weirdest glitch encounter out there.

Once I was at Michael's house and Amanda came in the front door with 2 shopping bags and sat on the couch in the foyer. Then a ghost came in the front door after she sat down carrying 2 more shopping bags. The ghost kept repeating over an over coming in the front door swinging the bags around while Amanda and Michael both watched. I still have a video of part of it on my camera.

 

Once I was cruising around in an LSPD cruiser wreaking havoc with the cops and stopped, got out to have a gunfight and planed to speed off. Once I got out & before I could do anything but duck behind the car, an NPC dude came running from across the street up behind me and jumped in the cruiser and sped off. He left me there with no cover an no way to escape. That was the only time I ever saw an NPC steal one of my cars since the launch of GTAV, so I take it it was a glitch. I couldn't help but laugh my butt off. LOL

 

I was standing outside my car off the side of the road once (near Hookie's IIRC) looking out towards the ocean and I suddenly heard a huge commotion behind me. When I looked there was a truck ontop of a semi cab and it exploded into flames. it caused a huge traffic jam and the cops, paramedics and fire department came. I still can't figure out what happened. LOL

Brought the armoured Kuruma to single player so I could use it in the Big Score and when I got to the parking lot all the cops became invisible as well as the pillars they hide behind and the Kuruma. Somehow I still completed it but it messed with my aiming for some reason as well, I'd lock on to a cop and my screen would nudge to the side a few times.

^ Awesome, nice one. That reminds me of similar infinite spawning glitches with M's house...you would trigger it by pushing Carlos out of the front yard area when he's gardening near the driveway, NPC's would walk into the house and Tracy would spawn over an over, I think eventually the game crashes.

I was driving a Duke O Death at full speed and boom smacked a flower pot and game glitched out and sent me to the top of the sky box (highest point reachable) and I fell to the ground with my car which surprisingly took the hit well.

I was on the golf course walking around in first person and I heard a guy talking, it was a ped floating and walking on the spot saying 'if you'd just asked nicely' over and over. Next to him was a golf cart with a ped inside doing some sort of dance, his body jerking around. Very odd.

 

I did the booty call thing and as I started driving the stripper began the bj animation, sex noises included. I tried jumping the car and she kept going.

 

I sometimes see car exhaust smoke just hanging in the air in one spot.

 

Not a glitch but if you kill Michael's family and watch the tv, their bodies don't disappear so Michael can sit next to them and happily watch the tele while his family decompose.

just lately happened some weird glitch infront of police station east and middle part of los santos (the one with impound) , i walked down the stairs and police car was speeding through tree on the north side (furthest from impound door) and partly through the electrical box next to it (i got pic in snapmatic competition thread as well)

When leaving from Online to Singleplayer and once I spawned the character will fall through the ground and the screen will turn black for about 2 minutes.. sometimes longer and then I get the loading screen you get if you start the game and load into SP, but not with the character I used leave Online.

 

Super annoying!
