Would you buy GTA Online 2.0 alone, without a base game?

This thought just hit me...

 

When GTA 6 comes out, let's say that hypothetically they offer you to buy the base game which comes with the online version (like GTA 5) or you can buy access to just GTA online version 2.0 (not related to the current GTAO at all) for a reduced price. Would you just buy GTAO V2?

I'd buy it with single player. If they went with this, then (in my opinion) the whole "it's a free separate game" thing might have some weight to it.

 

Also, not related at all? Hmmm, I'm not sure. It'd have to have some pretty special stuff then.

 

At any rate, I'm going to be pretty skeptical when the next GTA comes out - it needs a proper server setup, and I'll be eager to know what they're doing balance-wise (would they cut out military vehicles altogether? Hope not. But would they be really weak like now (aside from the jet of course)?).

Whatever R* does, many on here will B&M about it and STILL buy the new game(s). All the while my crew/buds will enjoy ourselves without letting a video game cause internal consternation and distress.

 

It'll be fun playing the game AND watching the usual suspects lose their marbles on GTAF. The most bang for your buck entertainment IMO.

No. I buy GTA for the SP game. Online is a bonus. Online is not worth even half the price of the base game.

No. What drew me to GTA isn't PVP forced crap in the online world. I want a story, I want a good PVE experience.

 

If GTA:O II were a balance of PVE and PVP - maybe. However, R* has been pretty clear that PVP is where they think the bread is buttered.

I´d buy both , PS and Online . I still prefer Online over SP , because it s kinda "infinite" and it simply offers way more than a story Mode, besides It s kind of "life simulation" !

but I loved GTA 5 SP , I wouldn t mind another story mode ( would be awesome with the same characters )

It is where the bread is buttered.....Online is giving them more profit than they ever got before, it's even allowing them to keep GTA5 to sell at full price.

Have to say that online is already giving a nice balance of PvE and PvP.

I'd still get both but I liked Online being delayed release. Gave me and several million other people time to experience the badassery of V. Very good performance by all of them, especially being done with mocap.

Yep would prefer an online version only, especially a download, having the disc is annoying.

 

SP is only good for goofing around and have only completed 5% of SP so far and have had the game twice in 3 years.

I would buy the whole game story mode and online just because I'm a huge gta fan. I've owned all gta's prior so I'm not going to change anything now but I more than likely won't finish story mode and will hop eight into online

Single player is an old gen idea. Waste of money for all the actors etc. Seems like just jacking off compared to online.
