How rare is this mask?

Nothing of any consequence is very rare. Some people say some stuff is rare but that rare item will have 1000x the usage rate as say a $79 shirt at ponsonby's.

 

Edit- it is fun to have items that took some effort to earn and save. The real beauty is in the vast amount of accessible customization for one's character. They're are enough items, in various combination, to have a completely unique character. They're are many more possible combinations of existing clothing items than there are unique player$/users. Thus, the ability to be somehow completely unique is inherent in the gtao universe.

That is if most people would not dress up in black outfits all the time

It is pretty rare. I only have one for my male character from a special crate drop on PS3. As far as I know the only way to use it on PS4 is during heists.

The mask is not that rare as some would lead you to think.Its been available on 2 separated occasions.There are other things more rare.

What are you talking about, you can equip the mask at any time under the interaction menu, just like every other mask.

 

As plenty of others have said, it isn't really that rare. People just don't wear it.

 

I love Manhunt, and I kinda like the mask, but I don't really ever put it on. Maybe I'd wear it more if it wasn't just a hockey mask reskin and was closer to the actual smiley mask.

The gingerbread masks while much larger are the type of mask they are not a hockey mask
