Since last week, all I've been getting in any public lobby is the left of my screen spammed with some glitching/hacking asshole completing the latest time trial in less than a second. Not sure if this is a hack people have or it's a glitch possible on every version of the game, but I'd avoid doing time trials if I were you to avoid this

It's a script/mod/hack/Russian/whatever that people are using to safe farm money by teleporting.

 

If you wanna mess people up doing it spam enter vehicle on their car and if you end up hopping inside it will stop the process as time trials can only be done with one person in a vehicle. I have had people come back and lose it on me for stalling their farm. It's also fun to park big vehicles where they teleport, to see them get turned into lowriders.

If you wanna mess people up doing it spam enter vehicle on their car and if you end up hopping inside it will stop the process as time trials can only be done with one person in a vehicle. I have had people come back and lose it on me for stalling their farm. It's also fun to park big vehicles where they teleport, to see them get turned into lowriders.

This worked the best of all the methods I tried. I parked it on top of the corona, and it even killed both of the guys trying to teleport. It also forced me out of passive, but I think they were AFK since they didn't retaliate, they just teleported back and forth, dying all the time. One of them eventually came back, but instead of just getting in the tank and moving it, he just sticky bombed it, which meant that as long as I watched the tank, it would never despawn and thus never move. He kept trying to sticky bomb it out of the way, so I said in chat "dude, even if you manage to move the tank, I'll just get a new one", and they left.

 

Satisfying.

Those people are so stupid. Most of the ones doing it are passive, but some aren't. I'm always abusing them to get some kills for tints and such. They seem to have an autoclicker for going ghost too, because i've killed that one dude over and over again, after 3 kills he always became ghosted. He didn't actually move or anything, i think he was afk.

Met another extremely stupid human being who tried to do this, i just killed him and jacked his car. Yes, it was actually set to everyone. Instead of locking his access, he kept kicking but but i always just jumped back in. He left shortly after. He was level 240 or so. Shows how much they know about this game.

Force cheats users are seriously the most retarded people on gtao. You expose them for cheating? You get crashed. Lovely people.

 

I have to try the tank thingy though. Insurgent worked fairly well already. :D

 

we can just hope r starts watching the time trials soon. the numbers of people doing this shît are increasing kinda quickly.

Don't forget to mug them (if you get them out of their PV).. 10K every 5 or 6 mins :D

Could be a bit tough. Tried that before, they've always teleported away too quickly... :(

it's beyond me why rockstar did not put a f*cking detection system in place for this yet.

whatever. two more people to block so i won't meet them again. this is so annoying...

As I'm a time trial enthusiast, whenever I see this, I immediately report their cheating asses. I don't want my beloved time trials removed due to some assholes exploiting the hell out of the one ingame item (IMHO) that actually involves a lil bit of skill to complete... It's getting easier with the latest vehicles/bikes, but still, it involves some skill to get it done. Then you have these people exploiting it... No no.. It's reporting time for me when I see it...

 

I'll try the other things you guys mentioned... It'll be nice to mess their greedy expoiting up a lil... :-)

Noticed this once i came back to the game and did a time trial, seems the notification spam will only happen if you do the time trial once or more.

 

See what silly tricks i can use to show em whos boss.

Of about 4 players I've tried messing with, I managed to blow one up with a proxy, the other 3 were passive. One I managed to pin his car under a tank in a way that his teleport script stopped working and he just sat there in his car under the tank. The other two I couldn't do much to.

So they spam this to constantly get $1000. Only solution is to remove reward once You beat it.... Or make it rewards You only after You beat Your best time. At some point they won't be able to beat 0.001 second time lol.

Found two guys last night, one in passive, and one was a CEO. Tried to tank them, which killed the CEO. The passive guy moved the tank into the bushes, so I had to blow it up and get a new one. When I came back, the CEO kept teleporting back and forth, but since he died he wasn't in a car. So I killed him. And killed him again. And to make a long story short, I now have unlocked green tints on several weapons.

That's actually a good idea. I remember back when they released the freemode update, they said the best time on the trial each week gets a reward, that means there have to be leaderboards only r can access. It's probably easy as hell to detect this shît..

The way I see this, there is something R* could come up with as a fix. Simply putting 1 minute cooldown on participating again if you just completed time trial (holding [F] and therefore teleporting back to start doesn't grant any cash, so no cooldown needed here).

I'll give this a try next time. I had no less than 4 people doing this in one session this morning. Not sure if it was my tank or something else but one of them did end up out of vehicle. Nothing funnier about this than someone mindlessly teleporting back and forth for no gain at all.

 

A cool down would be fine, legit driving back to repeat will usually burn that off anyways. Since personal bests are recorded though, you could just sweep those and ban everyone with under one second bests at the end of the week.

I still can't come to any justification as to why I can't time trial on a solo session. The worst part about this is the fact that if I lag out of the lobby it ends the trial since I'm in a lobby by myself, even though it's public. Truly can't comprehend this decision
