Update, 10/21/2016: universaltwister told me that it was best to put TILC in "Total Conversions", since it's standing out like one. For that, I've owed you one by completing a radio station with a few songs dedicated to you, and of course, putting your cars to perfect use.

 

Update, 10/28/2016: If I don't update this mod and topic like I do at this time of year, blame the 2016 World Series.

 

Update, 11/2/2016: YES, Cubs win the World Series! I now have the motivation to multitask again. :) (I have something in GMod named "11-16" going on alongside TILC)

 

Update, 12/27/2016: Life has gotten in my way one too many times. Very first credit card packed with $200 for Christmas, slaved around for chores, went on a shopping spree that became a debacle because of an observed Christmas yesterday with that same card and planning on continuing it today by going to the local trading post (what they have is all guuud). The download will come later as an installer, but it's my first time creating one and it's completely uncompressed (1.88 GB) because I can't really compress for shet... yet

 

From my crazed mind, a conversion of the GTA 3 map into VC and a holiday that made me do this comes a GTA:VC modification that fills in an important time gap between LCS and Advance:

 

Thanksgiving in Liberty City: the festive conversion you don't see everyday.

 

Plot... well, if it ever gets one scripted into the game in a later version thanks to an assisting member of a future TILC team:

Thanksgiving week, 1999. Liberty City has gotten itself in hard times thanks to the entire metropolis paying part of the United States' debt to Japan and China. A large sum of cash has done a number on the city; it has started an economical and social recession where low-life gangsters and deliquents are about to have more control than they've ever expected, and the past begins melding with the present. Many remain jobless in Staunton, citizens are losing their homes in Shoreside Vale, and Portland is experiencing a population boom from this recession. However, one man, Vasily Revschenko, would end up pulling off an oddball criminal adventure that would start the city back up once more.

Today's Specials, #1: The Satellit 601, meeting with a VCS Wintergreen in Shoreside Vale. The Wintergreen replaces the Freeway.

UPDATE: These cars are being replaced with NFX cars (don't fret, I asked beforehand). What I definitely know is that the Roush is being replaced with the Tempest as a new Stallion replacement. Any other of these three cars are to be replaced by the Brexit, the Suki (planned to be rebadged as the Dart), and many others to be selected.

 

Hidden beauties are being thawed out of a frozen mod; I'm getting them set to roll in Liberty City.

 

These were found in a GTA LCS PC mod for San Andreas that I downloaded two years ago. The mod seems to be frozen as of 2015 since many on the original forum (which is now locked) claim that XEPOMAHT007, the developer and possible team leader of the mod, declared it as so in his signature (his signature basically says "wait for the Stories games on Android"). The mod is now frozen, and it may be possibly dead, but I'm having these cars rise from their graves (and no, they most certainly won't ram into LC's citizens). XEPOMAHT007 hasn't been online in almost a year now, so I can't contact him personally about the "thawing" of these cars.

 

PROGRESS TRACKER:

 

Hotring Racers, Bloodring Bangers, and multiple vehicles programmed into traffic with modding of DEFAULT.IDE and modded to become the Deimos SP, the Phobos VT, that one hot rod from LCS, and a Bobcat Technical.

 

The Bobcat Technical seemed to lack some of its textures, so I've thought of trying to meld the original SA Bobcat's txd with the Bobcat Technical's txd in order to make it feel more complete.

 

A few VCS cars have been inserted into the game. Examples are the Gang Rancher and the Wintergreen.

 

Radio station "Dusha Vostoka" complete.

 

Radio station "Rise 99" in the works.

 

Roush and Tempest (Stallion II) seem to display texture issues. This could be easily fixed by applying original textures of SA cars to the models themselves. This was done with the Brexit, which replaces the Virgo.

 

GXT editor being put into use. More progress is to come.

The first beta of TILC, Beta 510 "Chicago", where modders can create and apply fixes to the conversion to have them submitted to me, will be released tomorrow or later due to the release being delayed, since a Gmod film project, named "11.16", is proving to stir up a dilemma for me.

 

I get the beta's designations from Sonic CD prototypes and Windows codenames.

That one cause of a delayed release. The Hunter appears as a half-textured police car if the Brexit replaces any of the vehicles in the game. I might need to have VC versions of the SA cars I've used from trusted workshops and garages... the VC versions of them, you won't find anywhere else!

...Except in a modder-modder PM

 

 

Holla at me if you got any suggestions for this mod like using CLEO, or if you want me to use something you got in your workshop for this mod.

I've read the description, but still have difficulties understanding what your mod is exactly. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like bunch of mods made by other people mashed up together. There's Liberty City, okay, but did you convert it by yourself, or used someone else's work? As for vehicles, you've explained it - UT gave you one, few is from long dead mod made by long unactive modder, but what about Wintergreen? Who converted it? And IF it was made for this mod, why does it have VCS blue windshield? I assume Bobcat Technical was also made by someone else, since you've said it misses some textures. Oh, and then there's LCS HUD.

How much of this mod's features was made by you, really? I don't want to sound rude, but you description feels somewhat suspicious.

I've created the features of an edited GXT, a modified DEFAULT.IDE file, custom radio stations, new textures, and a few other things. I'm also trying to create new ifp animations for the mod.

 

What made you suspicious:

 

The Stories HUD was originally made by HackMan128, but he is not active here on GTAForums (I tried looking him up, but he didn't show). Therefore, I can't establish easy contact with him about it without creating an entirely new account on GTAinside, where he established an account back in 2012. However, he hasn't been active on GTAinside since October 10, 2014 (the time November: Liberty City was being created and I could only spread the news through YouTube), save for October 9th this year for the one return he did for the HUD, which was updated. I've gotten a few suggestions to contact people through GTAGarage, but the site seems to have closed itself off to new users on my area's internet.

 

The Wintergreen was converted by MAJEST1C_R3, but it was uploaded by someone else that I haven't been able to contact.

 

Liberty City itself... it's from a version of a mod that's 12 years old at the very least, possibly one of the first ones off the belt. One of my old friends originally found this sometime in summer 2014, when it was 10. It's from 2004, it's as old as San Andreas. This version may been forgotten, however, since I found it on another GTA modding site. I'll have to show the team leader the 2004 version without missions, and see if it was either an accidental leak or a first release that stood the test of time.

 

The Bobcat Technical was made by universetwisters, except it's missing a few textures due to either being run through Blender 2.75, or an incorrect installation.

Sorting things out...

 

If 2 or more replies that seem to be the same about clarifying where certain vehicles come from show up from me, then my internet's a bit bugged. It must be the World Series hype that's causing this (I live in a Cubs area)...

 

UPDATE: Didn't know they were all in the same box. Cleared.
