Cant-B-Faded
Racing is the only reason I log in usually. I don't have all the 'best' race cars, just the ones I like the most. I just got to exactly 700-1500. By chance. No trading wins or trapping people in races. It was rough because I was at 695-1500. Had to win 5 in a row and I pulled it off. I'm thinking I should retire now, cause damn... Anyway, let's talk racing.
Nacho Z
What's the significance of 700 wins and 1500 losses?
Dottie
What's the significance of 700 wins and 1500 losses? Absolutely nothing If you like racing that much OP, Id honestly recommend another game since GTA isn't a dedicated racing game itself. Even though I only race for entertainment purposes on this game, I usually stick to top tier vehicles to stay marginally competitive unless its a novelty race (Like monster trucks vs mariachi tornadoes). My competitive racing belongs in forza and similar since it does racing much better (dedicated racing game)

Significance is the even numbers. Surely you noticed? What with the zeros at the end...
Gnocchi Flip Flops
I may be a big GTA car fan but I couldn't care any less about racing. The most fun I had racing was when Stunt Races first came out and when I got someone to farm wins with to unlock a paint job I had no patience waiting for. Racing in GTA IV was by far better imo. The shifting of weight and the fact that you actually had to know how to drive to win. It was fun. Cant-B-Faded

Maybe if you had 750 to 1500 it would have been worth mentioning. Not really though.
Cant-B-Faded
I realized its not very significant unless you're me. Really, I just wanted to talk about racing. Edited October 21, 2016 by Cant-B-Faded

Just general thoughts on how good it is or something more specific?
Cant-B-Faded
Anything that's on your mind, bub. I like the addition of non-contact to stunt races but have yet to race in one that I wasn't hosting.
Nacho Z
Yeah that was a good addition, it really needed it. Like you say it won't get used most of the time but if you host or you're with proper racers there's a lot of fun to be had. On the subject of stunt races I think it's great that it gives people an opportunity to recreate the famous race tracks of the world, I don't really know how to go about playing them myself but I've seen a few videos and some of them are spot on. Combine that with non-contact and you've got something approaching a decent racing game.
Cant-B-Faded
I still have custom jobs turned off but maybe there's some good stunt stuff out there now.
JakeHorgrove
Is that your tag in your signature? I'm always down for racing, but it's hard to find a good one. I like to pick different cars as well, love racing in my Vacca or Coquette or Jackal. Im even down for some Playlist racing so there is less loading times and we can pick the exact tracks we want. I don't like picking from only 6 races after the initial track. Not a huge fan of stunt races but they can be fun, and I don't do non contact racing. I like good custom races as well, legit ones with no ramps etc, I have a few decent ones. I tried joining NODO but it really didn't lead me into racing more. Maybe you have to be active on their forums, I'm not sure. Cant-B-Faded
ngazi
Every racing thread or fastest car thread gets buried after a few posts. There are probably better places to talk about racing. I love the Coquette too. Handles great. Edited October 22, 2016 by ngazi
les999
I didn't race much before, but since the stunt races came out I've been at it almost every day. I enjoy non-contact sometimes but it can be a bit dull without the interaction between cars. It's more challenging to have to get past someone when you can't just drive through them. I used to play Race Driver 3 and it had a feature where rammers got a time penalty. This was really useful at stopping the ramfest noobs, although didn't always penalise the right person. If stunt races had this it could really help make it more playable, or at least if it had auto disqualification for obvious tw*ttish behaviour like driving the wrong way around the track. L3pi-80
Racing... What tracks you like? Any preferences for grand prix type of tracks?
kingdmx
Yeah, that's the main reason I log in also most of the time, I still do some missions from time to time but the rest is all racing (not stunts), I really hope for a drag and drift mode racing soon, that would be great! allgoodinthehood
racing would be better if the added more of a feel of street racing, in stead of going into a lobby, starting at a race line and getting knocked out of position by someone that is either jealous or just doesnt know how to drive. and when i say more like street racing, i mean more like the side missions with franklin. kind of a mix between the current racing and impromptu or whatever its called.
