Newfangled flying machine :lol::^:

Speaking of which, how about hot air balloons, Zeppelins and kites?

They should bring back the War Horse. That was my favourite horse. Yeah, they should hopefully include more types of stagecoaches (faster versions, different paintjobs, different handling) and...maybe a flying machine...if we don't end up like that guy from that side quest in the first RDR.

I honestly just think they should stick to horses. It would break the theme of the spaghetti Wild West theme. And imagine getting into a plane and starting that thing up. It'll take you 30 minutes from start to finish just to get up in the air! Lol

I don't see bicycles making a mark, either.

I can see different breeds of horses, one seater carriages, two seater and "box" carriages. But that's about it.

I honestly hope they'll back the time period up and go to the 1870s or 80s. The "Dying West" them was great in RDR, but I want to see something new, and I want the technology to be a bit older.

Boats ( trailer confirms at 0:34 )

Four-wheel vehicles like this:

Also,

Covered wagon:

3-wheeled pump trolley:

Lastly, the Jetpack to go anywhere across the map at any height, including the mountains

Canoe - in the trailer

Rafts & other row boats

small sailboats

large sailboats

paddle wheeler/steamboats

Gun boats like the Monitor & Merrimack from the Civil war.

Could even have a submarine like the H. L. Hunley

Considering how the bisons were threatened with extinction in the 1890s and that there's still plenty as shown in the trailer, I am choosing to believe that this game is a prequel and cars still didn't exist by that time period.

Gunboats could be something that would be fun and fit with the vibe of it. They wouldn't really be out of place at all I don't think - I mean, battleships have been around for hundreds of years haven't they? Probably longer.

Something flying would though. So if they go with something flying, go the whole hog and just add this:

I don't think any type of akrcraft would fit the time, or the game. However, I'd like the option to buy an old timey bicycle to ride through town, with a bow tie and a long white shirt. I also fully predict there will be a variety of stagecoaches for purchase, as rockstar needs money incentives for RDO (Red dead online). I also think the game is taking place somewhat in Louisiana. We can see a vast amount of lakes, rivers and rain in the trailer, so expect water travel to play a part. Buying a variety of boats ranging from canoes to small ships would make sense. Not everyone wants a carriage to lug around, and boats get boring, so we're going to have to expect some crazy mounts if rockstar wants RDO to be a cash cow like GTAO. Expect Buffalo, Bulls, donkeys, zebra donkeys, cows, wild boars, and many unique breeds of horse to be rideable, and more importantly, buy able.

I think if they add any flying machine or cars it will be ruined. It's the wild west... grab a horse.

Couldn't agree more!

If Rockstar would add a flying machine to RDR, it would probably have a machinegun with exploding rounds...

It doesn't have to be accurate. AC2 had some sort of flying device.

hope some fast cars added to the game ,the world looks soooo big in the trailer(don't forget there might be a Mexico ), riding a horse across the map doesn't feel right

Trains and all manner of horse-drawn carts, coaches, and wagons. That's all.

As long as they stay away from anything that is anachronistic and doesn't fit the theme and setting, I'm happy. I found the car in RDRedemption 1 quite jarring and it didn't feel right, even though it was era-accurate. Thankfully it wasn't drivable and John was restricted to feet, horse and train.

I mean... it's a game about cowboys. Why would we ever need anything more than horses, carts and trains?

I think those Penny Farthing bikes would be hilarious to use. I think we should we able to fly in one way or another, maybe only just glide. But, it would be so neat to go to a high mountain, and then just run off and glide peacefully while gazing upon the beautiful landscape with no engine noise or whatever.

They shouldn't bother with cars at all if they're slower than horses. It would just be a waste of time. Driving something slow also isn't fun.

The Time Ranger

I'd like to be able to drive the train, it was surprisingly fun in San Andreas.

Hot air balloon! Excellent.

The glider / flying machine could be like the GTA III Dodo - hard to fly, usually fatal.

I wouldn't mind driving the Model T. Maybe unlock it after a certain side mission.

Night Machine

I saw a guy riding a Penny Farthing down the road the other day. It looked pretty funny with him riding along with the traffic.

The game looks to be set around 1900-1905, given the fact there's electricity. So horseless carriages aren't out of the question. But they'd only make sense in a modern (for the time period) city. And be only the domain of the incredibly wealthy. They're slow (around 10mph max), unreliable, impossible to find fuel for outside of cities, and mostly just a curiosity. So maybe if they include 2-3 in the major modern city being hidden by a mansion, and you're incapable of purchasing one at least in single player.

Maybe we'll be able to buy them in online, though. As a sort of badge of honour and bragging rights. In 1905, the average car cost $750-900. In a world where the average horse was about a tenth of that, and a decent farm was about $1000.

Bicycles are another story. Again, you'd only really see them in a city, but they were fairly common and fairly cheap. Penny Farthings were more an 1870s thing than a 1900s thing, but I doubt your average RDR2 player would be able to make the distinction so why not. Most bicycles in the early 1900s cost less than $40, which would only be about $500 now. To not include them at least in an uncommon form would be historically inaccurate.
