Setzaroth
I just started playing Paladins about a week ago. I pretty much expected it to be identical to Overwatch, and while it has a lot of similarities in how certain characters play, Hi-Rez has implemented a few systems that make it stand out in the 'hero shooter' genre. There's a pretty big debate on the internet about Paladins copying Overwatch. And at first I was in that camp, because there are a handful of characters in Paladins that are essentially identical to their Overwatch counterparts. Some have brought up the valid point that there are only certain builds that work and are fun or viable in this setting, while others claim Hi-Rez completely ripped off Overwatch's idea citing that OW was revealed and playable before Paladins, and pointing out that Paladins has undergone pretty significant changes while Overwatch has maintained consistency since release. At the end of the day, I don't really care. Paladins is a fun game in its own right, though it still has a lot of ironing out that needs to happen. Here's some gameplay I recorded recently. I've also got some other videos going up soon about this game. What do you think?

Fireman
I don't care that much for it being an exact clone, the only thing they should worry about is getting sued. It looks just as fun as Overwatch, though the lack of sounds is a bit annoying, or did you have the sound effects lowered?

I think I did have the effects lowered because they are EXTREMELY loud and I couldn't hear my team chat. I doubt they'd get sued. What would be the basis? Anything they might get sued for, Valve could sue Blizzard for. The only way Hi-rez would be legally liable is if they stole assets from Overwatch.
