Baked English Beans
I like that the Henry Repeater has a strap on it, makes me hopeful there is a different weapon storage system in this and that you can just sling it across your shoulder (Besides I never really liked the holster on John's back) DuckEarly, Conflakes, BurnettVice and 1 other

UtterTehSEAL
You know I really hope that this has some level of weapon customization. Like maybe sawing off barrels a sling will make a rifle easier to draw etc. I'd settle for just being able to put ornate engravings at least. At least the secondary fire would be great; like the shotgun attachment in cod, the Revolver Le Mat has a shotgun option, in the new TV series Westworld episode 2 they wanted to make it very clear: "BOOM neckshot through the wall" Edited October 21, 2016 by Dsantos

LincolnClay
I hope there are some weapons returning from the previous game (I'd love to be able to toss dynamite and Molotov cocktails around again). Though if it's set in the 1800's as people seem to think, I doubt the weapons like the M1911 (High Powered Pistol, as the game calls it) will return, unless R* are just going to ignore minor anachronisms like that. I think the M1911 was made in the early 20th century, I mean it says it in the name, I guess. I'm no gun expert. Thor Shreddington
TommySpaghetti
Yup, that sure does look like the Bolt Action Rifle. Anybody think the Satchel will return where we would store medicine, animal pelts/skins/meat, apples (for our horses), and more? Pedinhuh
I hope this time we can read the newspaper while sitting in the moving train/convoy You know what? We won't be having internet in this game but maybe the newspapers might be a good enough replacement, I hope we also get to see that in the next GTA that will be -hopefully- set in the 70's. In terms of weapons in the game that were made after the 1890s the only ones we'll be missing out on from the first game are the High Powered Pistol and the Semi-Auto Shotgun. The rest were made or at least in production 1890s and before. slohbur
Anybody think the Satchel will return where we would store medicine, animal pelts/skins/meat, apples (for our horses), and more? I think it will. We've seen a lot of items on the trailer and the only way I can think of accessing these items is via the Satchel. Not sure about storing animal pelts/skins/meat - judging by this pic we might have to carry animals on the horse - but it could also be just an NPC. Zader
God, am I glad the guns are all woody and realistic. I was scared we'd have another GTA V scenario, where the guns look just off enough to be confusing and everything is spotless.

Was in Redemption as 'Schofield Revolver'.Yeah seems to be it - the silver finish seems to match, though the cylinder is a bit darker for some reason - updated the OP --- So far all weapons spotted seem to be in RDR1; wonder which ones are going to return... Or even, which ones are going to be added? Personally I would like to have the Luger P08 added: ... the Colt Model 1855 Revolving Carbine: ...and Harpers Ferry Model 1805 Flintlock Pistol: Edited November 3, 2016 by slohbur Conflakes, rtie, Payne Killer and 1 other
tsycho
I agree with the Schofield (S&W No. 3) in the first image. But I think the weapon that the "dual gun guy" holds in both of his hands could also be a Colt Model 1898 New Service (not 100% sure, but like 80-90) like this one, just with a slightly longer barrel in the trailer. (It was in RDR 1 as the "Double Action Revolver"). The Schofield (S&W No. 3) looks different in the profile, not only because of this "bar" above the barrel. BretMaverick777
Hope we see the return of REALLY big guns too....Gatling guns, cannons, mortars. Pretty sure the Maxim gun would be anachronistic before the 1900s, but Civil War era artillery and heavy weapons should be available for the biggest big ol' firefights. Conflakes
Not sure if anybody else noticed this, but the guy with the sawed off shotgun shown at the end of the trailer has a holster for it on his right leg. The other characters all have holsters for their revolvers but the shotgun is different, maybe this confirms a new weapon system? It could just be the weapon wheel where whatever weapon you have equipped appears on your character's body similar to the first Red Dead Redemption, but for how fast you switch weapons in the wheel it would look out of place to have different holsters swapping back and forth. You can see one of them has a sling on their rifle as well, maybe you can whip that on your back to switch to your secondary. Only just noticed this too, but the guy with the bandolier is holding his gun with his left hand while everyone else uses their right or duel wields. I personally hope its a system similar to Max Payne 3, where we have one primary weapon and a left/right secondary plus equipment like knives/lasso/dynamite. Before heading out on your horse you'd choose your trusty weapons to fit your play style then head out and be limited to them. Maybe for online you start out with one holster then unlock another to be able to duel wield as you progress? I think it would add a more personal feeling to the game especially when hunting or roaming the game world, how would you guys feel about a system like that? It would be limited compared to the weapon wheel but it would add a whole other layer to the game. I also hope we get something like the Colt Model 1855 and a Mare's Leg in game, most of all I just want more variety! I thought RDR had a nice number of revolvers it would be great to get just as many if not more. tsycho
The "Repeater Carbine" (which was in RDR 1) on the back of this man. It is a Spencer Carbine Model 1865. In the holster seems to be a Colt SAA. The Smith & Wesson Model No. 3 with some nice engravements.
