Playstation have partnership rights for Red Dead Redemption 2

Recommended Posts

PS4 players get first access to earn select online content in the vast open world of Red Dead Redemption 2.

So PS4 will get a few pieces of DLC earlier but they're not exclusive and they don't get everything early?

Edited by SuperHolySheep

Why?

Honestly, i'm kinda disappointed.

The name that currently makes no sense, short trailer but with decent shots, mentioning Online in the first post they had, and now exclusivity for those who buy Sony products.

It's bad enough not announcing it for PC, but also restricting Xbox users is also a dumb move.

Rockstar, caring only about money and shark cards since 2013.

So is the ps pro worth getting? I have a xb1,ps4,& pc. But is pro worth it gaming wise?

Probably not. It does say "for PlayStation 4 and X-Box one." Maybe they will release more information on the pro?

"Red Dead Redemption 2: PlayStation and Rockstar Games Announce Partnership

For the past 20 years, Rockstar have continually redefined the concept of open worlds. From the record breaking Grand Theft Auto series, the Midnight Club racing games, the schoolyard comedy Bully, to the breakout hit Red Dead Redemption, Rockstar has consistently delivered on a level that few have managed to match.

Now, following up Grand Theft Auto V — one of the most successful entertainment properties of all time — Rockstar is set to return with Red Dead Redemption 2, the latest entry in the Red Dead series of games. And there’s no better place to play it than PlayStation.

Consider this payback for what happened with EFLC...What goes around comes back around.

Also, I can't wait to get myself a PS4, those visuals are amazing!

The Division got content for Xbox ONE MONTH before Sony. That turned me off completely and I sold the game even with purchasing the Season Pass.

Glad my favorite developer is choosing the right path.

For One users, I'm sure it'll be available in due time, but I'm excited as f*ck. Just upsetting we gotta wait a year and some change for this release.

since you're also a faithfull sony fan as i am do you think it would be worth it to buy a pro for this game?

no matter how much i support sony i think it's a bold move to buy a pro while i have my normal ps4 working perfectly for me.

Really distasteful imo.

I never expected to have content held back away from me in a R* game.

But I guess if there is enough zeros on the check, I guess they will.

I take it you weren't playing GTA IV at the time of the DLC expansions.

Or all of the exclusive (albeit, tiny) content they offered for pre-orders of Red Dead Redemption, Max Payne 3, and GTA V.

Honestly, I'm not getting a pro unless I come up on some extra money to throw away. I have a perfectly working PS4. There's no need for me to switch. I don't own a 4K TV. It would be nice but not needed.

Yes, it is more than twice as powerful.
