Same. I've tried to reproduce camera glitches I've found on YouTube so many times with no success. There is so much detail put into the animal movements and controls that there has to be a way to access them in-game. I always wondered if you could secretly bring some type of sacrificial animal to the ritual site and transform into that animal similar to a peyote.

How is this done? Is the player controlling the bird?

The guy who did this JediJosh does a lot of hacking, like recently he made it so could use Javier's model instead of Arthur's.  I think he has a PS4 dev kit or something which allows him to go even deeper into the code to do neat things like this.

I think you can also do it with save editing.

Don't worry, PC is around the corner. This stuff will be super easy to do soon!

And yeah, He uses a save editor hack, to change the Hex codes in the data script. Which means the animal control is in the code, like the peyote plants in GTA V.

After a bit more exploring East Grizzlies and Roanoke Ridge, it looks like a lot of these areas are very bare on the beta map.

It's possible the stuff in North Ambarino on the beta map was repurposed for these areas.

Anyone see this? Somehow these guys just straight up rowed across the San Luis into Mexico during free roam without sinking..

I’ve seen the boat only spawn there when doing a trader delivery that ends at the shack right there. Not sure at all how this happened.

This is something me and a few others tested couple weeks ago but while a couple were successful other attempts ended with us sinking. We didnt quite figure out what caused the sink wall to disable. So at the moment, It seems to be completely random if it works or not.

Yeah we tried for a couple of days straight to replicate that online lol. One thing I just noticed in that video, could mean nothing, but he had a collector's map active on the minimap. Worth seeing if that makes a difference!

Been working on this video recently. I havent made a good exploring video for a while.

Is the sniper disabled in New Austin?

I'm not entirely sure since New Austin is fully submerged under water. There might be a trigger point where the map switches back, and the water unloads. But that may also active the sniper too. It needs more testing, just takes a long time to get back to New Austin.

This is one I've been looking forward to making for a while:

Here's my interpretation of how I believe the Prologue was meant to go down. The escape part anyway.

Have you tried to venture north and look at opening position 1 and 2 as well as the area around there? Would be interesting for sure. And I believe the caravan went west around the mountain instead of east of it. If you pause the game and look at the map in opening scene 1, the caravan is going west->east (north of mountain) instead of south->north (eat of mountain) as indicated on the map.

I thought that too at first. But venturing out up there, there's no way a wagon could have gone that way, unless they altered the terrain afterwards. It's a sheer slope down the mountain side...

With those hand-modeled moments like the frozen waterfall, cliff steps, and fault line, something was up there in that spot!

Seems like the huge dip in the ground was a sudden change in all honesty. I dont see why it would be set that deep naturally. Pretty sure it goes below sea level.

Thanks for the effort and pictures. Think we just have to accept that they changed it.. Would be fun to pin point the exact route though.

This is quite an amazing find. I wonder what would happen if you used the arrows to push Hercule and the captain back to shore and let them on the ground.

@Bobby West Simple - I've ported this to GTA V, but since we have RDR2 on PC, we'll see it in the natural environment.

It’s still pretty early, but has anyone come across any map differences between PC and console? I’m lowkey hoping for a more fleshed out RDR1 map.

I'm guessing he changed the files to play as a bird and flew around the map.
