Guarma is still reachable in story mode after version 1.10 too :)

 

I think R* are actually focusing on glitches that affect online (at the moment). Fingers crossed anyway!

I can't seem to get the boat escape to work anymore. I'm doing it the same way I've always have before the patch but now it just keeps sinking.

So I was all set to record a new method to escape the map in online that a friend and I stumbled upon few days ago. Took a few tries to get right and when we finally get it, we were greeted with an instant death barrier... That wasn't there before the latest update.

Is it the underwater method? I've been playing with that for a few days with no luck.

It's an area around the north end of the Calumet Ravine. We had it working before the patch after serval tries but now when you get up there and get past that invisible barrier, you seem to die instantly.

Ah that's a shame. I've been exploring the waterbed of the Lannahechee, trying to find a way to walk over the drown barriers.

Sounds like Rockstar added more deathwalls... but why add them so randomly? They really don't want people exploring online...

People only want to get out of the map online so they can get to Guarma with their friends. R* Know this, that's why they put a teleport barrier there. They want people to be on one map, they have no faith in private lobbies anymore because it earns them less money. Guarma was essentially a private lobby.

This is a fun little glitch I've been messing with for the past few days. Reminds me of the same glitch in GTAO back in the day. But it also has the potential for us to escape the map, and cross to the other side.

anyone ever managed to escape Guarma while still in Chapter 5? I know most of the island is in lockdown. It’d be cool to make it back to the main map while the gang is still stuck on the island lol.

Would be interesting to go back to camp! Someone needs to try this, unfortunately I'm still in late chapter 3 in my current playthrough so can't yet.

yeah, I’m back in chapter 2 after losing my saves lol. hopefully someone on here can test it out, I’d do it myself if I could.

I got a save just before chapter 5. I'll load it later tonight and see if there is any possible way.

Me & a friend tried this a while back. There was no way to avoid the sniper from what i can remember. I managed to escape it a couple of times  and get to the higher ground above the camp, and walk to the top of the waterfall. But then the sniper caught me after a certain distance.

 

This is the zone my friend mapped

The yellow zone is the triggered by soldiers sniper.

And the orange zone is the boundary sniper.

 

Only other thing i can think of is killing a villager, pick up their body and use it as a meat shield. See if you can get all the way out of the outter snipe zone (if there is one).

Well damn, i had 2 manual saves with Arthur in chapter 4 that always loaded me in Guarma, but i guess they patched it, they still load, but now drop me off near St. Denis. They worked on 1.06, but i haven't played much last few months, so it must've been patched with either 1.07, .08 .09 or .10.

I don't know if it's just me but  Arthur seems to automatically drop anything he's carrying when going too far past the boundary when trying to enter New Austin Early. I'd imagined it'll likely be the same result in Guarma.

this is actually a really good idea.

damn, you’re on the latest update right? It could be possible utilizing the Bronte glitch since it disables the sniper. I’m back on V1.00 so when I reach chapter 5 again I’ll have to try

Been using this very same one last couple of days. Nice to have an English version through :). Although when I tried it with a friend the other night, he somehow hit a death wall or death spot? I don't know, it seems to be completely random for him but I've had no issues... yet.

Was it where I pointed out in the video? The first Mexico breach was patched in version 1.03. They put a death zone behind the boundary there.

Nope, we avoided that area since I already knew about that death zone. It was up near Gaptooth where he randomly died but when I went over to the same spot, I was fine. I seem to be having no issues at all with this but I'll try to get him on tonight to try again to see if it was just a fluke.

 

When it happened, I made a note of where he died. It was around here

Ah i see. There must be another death zone around there for some reason. We should keep track of these and keep a map in this thread for reference!

This must be affecting a small group of people with them hitting death zones randomly outside the map since it doesn't seem to be known very well. I tried this way and map escape and I'm fine. Not dead yet.
