If we can get out of the map during a mission, that may be our only bypass. I'm going to try and find a way, if anyone wants to help me on PS4 add me on PSN: BushkaUK

No matter what I tried last night, I just couldn't get past that teleport barrier. Missions may be the only bypass if it does work, I just wish I was able to load them solo without randoms.

DuPz0r ,you have probably done this already, if so, I may have missed the video, but have you tried the interior of Chadwick Farm yet?

Also the interior from Gameplay trailer 1/chapter 6 loan shark mission, with the woman and her boy who calls Arthur a "Son of a bitch"?

I'll have to check, I've got a lot of unedited videos. If not I'll be sure to go check it out.

I keep getting messages to this day people asking me how I freely walk around Guarma without getting sniped at. And I never knew It was that much of an issue. But apparently, it is. I've tried to make a survival tip video here since I love exploring Guarma, and hope it helps other people wanting the same thing.

wanted to post this here as well :

after 100%, hunting, points of interest, etc.
i found some further enjoyment exploring outside the map.
my biggest question after seeing just how much open ocean there is, why on earth did they stick guarma under the map? there is plenty of space for multiple guarmas out there.
it seems the entire map is placed over a huge body of water that extends far beyond even the transparent borderland of blur on the outskirts of the land. after you travel far enough in any direction, your boat will sink, but you can continue drifting further for what seems like forever. i left the console on for three days with no further result. here is a video:

that is the boat sinking

this is drifting until arthur disappears

after arthur has disappeared

and a bonus video. art imitates afterlife :

has anyone else been out this far?
did you find anything?

nobody

I went back to do the exact same thing, but after falling for a while I just turned off, since I felt like I was getting no-where.

How long did you fall for?

Here's a short video of my favorite landmarks outside of the world map.

Ended up making a second part of some of the areas I missed in West Elizabeth comparison in the first vid.

How long did you have to travel after leaving the map before your boat sank? I put in a good two hours of going out to sea and still never have that happen.

Also, I've been experimenting with ways to get off the map without the Guarma water loaded in, but haven't had much luck. Basically I do the trick where you load Guarma water and then i leave the map going north by boat like normal. Once I exit the main map just past Annesburg I park the boat and run back south to unload Guarma then I run back to the boat and continue north. Only problem is you can't get past this big gap that exists underneath the water without sinking. Anyone find a way to do this?

Looking at that cost line makes me think Rockstar originally wanted to use it for something. Probably a cutscene for a trip to Guarma and back when it likely possible to travel back and forth at anytime after Chap 5?

Between @Noru122's comparison vids and @tonko's screenshots. It amazing to see how much better more detail they put into the old map. I just wish New Austin area had a proper 1899 and 1907 version like West Elizabeth.

Has anyone ever questioned why there's a path up the west mountain on the bay even though you're not actually meant to be able to get to it?

I left it going for a good couple of hours with a band stuck around it, then when I noticed I was falling I saved the clip and looked back at the point it fell. So roughly 2-3 hours I'd say.

After exploring Guarma myself for several hours, I was thinking the same about that road. I'm guessing Chapter 5 was originally supposed to be much longer and the full island was open to explore than being linear like it is in it's current state.

I'm assuming there is no way to completely disable those snipers in Guarma?

So it turns out that while having a story mission active in Red Dead Online does disable that Teleport barrier. So I decided i'll go take a look at the Grand Korrigan River Boat off the shore of Saint Denis.

All we need to do is find a new way to escape the map to once again reach and fully explore Guarma in Online.

On older versions of the game you can do the Bronte glitch while in Gharma to remove the snipers. IDK if it works on current versions.

I posted that here some time ago. It disables the sink/teleport wall for the Lannahechee River. That's not to say it will work for Guarma. I've been working on trying to do that in a co-op mission myself actually. I've found a method to get your entire posse out of the map without leaving someone behind. I'll post the video tomorrow.

I've tried to drive other larger boats with no success.

You can't do the glitch in the current version. You can no longer fail the optional objective needed to do the glitch

Just absurd from Rockstar. What harm did it do to anyone? Meh, there's no point in me trying to rationalize it.

So I tried this out but had randoms in my mission who went ahead and finished it as soon as I reached the boat. Upon respawning back into freemode. I was on the other side of Lannahechee river along the shore. I ended up getting teleported back to Saint Denis when tried climbing the hill though. I'm going to see if I can duplicate this and hope it wasn't just some fluke.

Yeah, that glitch no longer works on the current version saddly.

Nice. Would it be possible to enter guarma from there easily?

Now that you mention it, I do remember seeing that awhile ago. Completely slipped my mind. Also, I did find a spot that allows you to escape the map but it's quite tricky to pull off. Been trying to see if there is an easier way but no luck yet. Looking forward to see what you found.

the fact they want to possibly cash in IF they want to add those. They want to let people see as less as possible, since the 'wow' factor is much larger then.

This doesn't mean they will add extra regions, but they just want the possibility to do so, without 'us' already exploring regions they could potentially sell for big bucks.

At least that is the only thing I might think of why they do this... Can't think of any other reason.

Was just about to say that lol. Ponchos are a nice addition though.

edit: and " Ponchos hand made from our warehouse in Chuparosa", but there's no Chuparosa silly Rockstar.

V1.09 now. This is interesting, I wasn't expecting a new update today. I'll have to hop on when I get off work to check it out. I hope the new map escapes are still intact.
