Just sharing what Dee said having spoken to the trophy leaker regarding the physical map that comes with the game...

says the map looks pretty identical to the 2016 leak. No Mexico. New Austin weirdly in doubt but he's hoping to hear more.

Given what we've seen of the game world vs. the leaked map, I will remain quite skeptical of this until there's a more reliable source.  Too much looks to have changed for this to make sense.

He hasn't got the game and can't provide proof. 

 

He got caught out on discord when someone asked him about  which menu item was in a certain place and he answered incorrectly. The person asking has actually seen the game at a press event and knew the right answer and  called him out on it.  He got arsey and left lol

Yeah, I think even most of us here agree that the map will most likely have deviated from the 2016 leak. I would be very surprised if they managed to keep the same layout as the 2016 map.

Rockstar have stated many times that "everything you see, you can go to and explore". 

 

We clearly see Mexico in some screenshots. I doubt we can ride to the river at the border and then just stand there with no way to cross it.

Disregard the "leaker". He was proven to be a fraud in the discord (couldn't answer a question from someone who saw the game correctly) and lied about several things so I have no doubt that him saying the game is just 50 GB and the map is the same are lies as well. Even the trophies could be fake.

The size requirement listed on games is sometimes an estimate of how much you'll need in the game's lifetime (for games with lots of DLC like FFXV, GTA V, Shadow of War, etc..) rather than just the game's size. It hasn't been conclusively proven either way which one RDR2 pertains to. In the end though, it will still be a massive size, 60 GB minimum if I had to estimate.

Cheers man, yea I honestly couldnt see it been any less than 60GB tbh, after 8 years of work and all the previews 'most immersive world', I'd expect a decent bit of gigs to show for that.

Has a bit about Saint Denis - and a port to the south...

It’s a sprawling metropolis, with a port to the south packed with paddle steamers and fishing boats (no, you cannot steal them, at this point at least, but there are other boats you can) and cobbled streets lined with shops, shows and games to play.

 

Some new names:

Going off the beaten path also gives me the opportunity to get to know the locals. I ride up to a picture-postcard place called Emerald Ranch.

 

And not sure if these have been mentioned, seen before:

Over the next couple of hours, as I rode north through the industrial town of Annesburg to the East Grizzlies – the slightly less cold but much foggier cousin of the snowy mountains you start in – before heading back down to the Heartlands

What we have not heard is 'East Grizzlies', maybe the two regions of The Grizzlies are further split into 'West Grizzlies' and 'East Grizzlies' (what we now call 'The Grizzlies (intro)' and 'The Grizzlies', respectively).

"East Grizzlies" is what they're calling the Appalachian region.  Cumberland, Roanoke, Balsam, Tallulah-- they're all names that come from in or around the Great Smoky Mountains, which is the southern part of the Appalachian range.

 

 

Warmerand foggier than the Rockies, they're spot-on with that description.
