As the title says why do you play on your specific platform and what is the reason you chose the specific platform for gta online?

I play on ps4 but would switch to xbox one soon as I believe the fanbase is better on the xbox community.

Pc here. I have nothing against console players, but it's not my cup of tea. I prefer to be able to choose whether i want to use keyboard+mouse or controller. I like being able to change graphics settings and i like playing at 60fps (locked fps on pc games are stupid.). Also, unless you got an external keyboard for your console, communicating is kinda hard. Not everybody wants to use voice chat to talk to strangers. Most pc games have a text chat which makes communicating easy (easier than texts on console gtao anyways). Also you can mod pc games, which is cool.

Downside is that it's way easier to cheat than on consoles...

I never owned a console since we had our first C64 back then. And since there is still a PC around here today, I thought it was a good idea to choose this platform for GTA:O.

I switched from XB1 to PC about 5 months ago. So I have a nice perspective on both.

PC has better graphics, fps etc.

Shark card sales are more frequent on steam.

I haven't seen a single cheater on PC yet so that's down to luck.

Xbox does have a better community but I only play with friends so it doesn't really matter.

PS4 fam

I had GTA V on PS3 for last gen it'd make sense for me to move on to the PS4. If had a good PC (which I unfortunately do not) I'd could've gone there instead but with the modders, hell no. Will probably get it on PC just for the SP mods.

I have PS3 first bought the collectors to give my PS3 the proper send off.

Then I got the ps4 version loved it and still do

Lastly I got Xbox one and pc since I like the game a lot I bought it again.

It really is a fun game.

Do you find yourself noticing graphical discrepancies? Not trying to start a flame war, just curious if PS4 has noticeably better detail in the way of foliage, particle effects, ect., buzzzword, ect.?

I do notice lighting is a bit different on Ps4 seems brighter for me. Xbox seems darker. Again could be my tv settings. Both play well but that's at least I see and grass is better in on ps4.

PC. Was on the 360 for awhile and planning on getting the One before my PC crapped itself. This gave me the chance to finally get a proper gaming rig and decided to start all over on the PC. Doubt if I'll ever get around to getting a One and transferring now (vale Creeps Jr!). I like been able to alternate between keys/mouse and the controller and communicating is easier.

I'm still on ps3, occasionally on my sons ps4.

I'm not planning on upgrading cos I only really play for the freeroam fighting, and that's as good as it ever was on old gen.

The new content looks great, especially the biker stuff but lots of it is centred on making money that I don't need, so until vi comes out or a new console il stick with the old. It's free too

I started on PS3; at the time I owned both PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles, but purchased GTA V for PS3 because playing online was free and I did not have a current paid Xbox Live subscription.

After having met plenty of regular players and being part of a crew that consisted of PS only players, the logical step was moving to PS4, so that is what I did and where I have been since December of 2014.

I don't understand the whole console war thing. I understand it from a business perspective, but who cares which system people own or game with? I've met quality people (online, not necessarily in game) from all platforms.

However, personally I don't think I'd ever be able to play on PC unless I only used a controller. My PC likely wouldn't do so well at supporting the game as it is, and I prefer having it open and available for other things whilst playing.

PS4

Would say the majority here are on Playstation Network.

And I play on Playstation because I've had bad experiences with the 360(Hardware failure x4). Also the majority of my friends were going to PS4 but also wanted to move to the PS4 just because I wanted to and I wouldn't have met my S/O if I hadn't. I don't think I'd ever own the XB1.

I'm also an ex-PC gamer. My rig crapped out after years of abuse overclocking and just not motivated to invest in another one.

I play on PS4, though I'm primarily a PC gamer overall. I had planned on riding GTAO out on PS3 until the PC version dropped, though I was worried about my rig's ability to run it at a better-than-console level and predicted it would be a modder's paradise. As it turns out, a local game shop offered an insanely good deal on GTAV PS4 bundles around Christmas '14 so I decided to treat myself. No regrets even though GTAO is just about the only game I play on it anymore.

Once I upgrade my rig I'm sure I'll buy the PC version someday, when (if ever) it gets cheap enough but mainly for SP mods. I might copy Courtney over though I doubt it'll ever become my main account.

PS4 is the majority of GTA: O players. Why would I downgrade to an xbone 1?

A person like me who faced problems with 2 ps4 consoles would not go for a third one so i will just go with the xbox one as i loved my 360 more than ps3

Started on 360.

Beat the game, but Online was never really exciting. Just a lot of people running around greifing.

Plus passive mode didn't make you intangible, you couldn't deposit money through your phone, and dropped all of it when you died.

Moved over to PC, and I'm enjoying myself along with all of my friends.

DentureDynamite

Have always owned a PC for (mostly) gaming [bF3, TF2, CS:S], but bought a PS3 in Oct. '14 just to start leveling my GTA Online character up (knowing I could then transfer to the PC).

Had a lot of fun with the PS3, but after transferring, sold it. If I had to choose a console, would easily get a PS4 over an XBox One (Sony's not perfect, but I'd rather support them than Microslime). The PS3 GUI is fairly easy to use and makes sense if you're using a controller; but I'm a hardcore mouse and keyboard fan... there were some contact missions on the PS3 I just couldn't do well until I switched to m+k on the PC.

If RDR2 is good (will wait for reviews) might buy a PS4 just for that; not sure...would be great if it comes out for the PC.

Because I'm on X1 of course :p

But uh .. Yeah, you've got a point lol. There's a lot of cool people I can't play with because most people here are on PS4. Don't get me wrong, there's some cool people on xbox, but most seem to be on PS4.

We need cross-platform play. I want to get a whole squadron of attack helicopters flying around.

Perhaps a novice question, but how do those of you who play on PC (without a controller) drive/race? I don't know that I'd be able to do it without crashing. I remember older PC games where you would steer with the arrow keys, but I always failed so much whenever I tried.
