I hate it when characters in a series return with different voice actors, if any returning character's voice has changed I'll be very p***ed off Same here. I think Rob was most definitely keeping the door open when he said he was turning his back on Hollywood and acting. He is not a gamer, true. But surely he must have seen what the game did, financial wise and fan wise. I mean, we still get chills when we ride our horse throught the snowy mountains in RDR. I remember back when GTA V's launch trailer released and I literally started counted down the seconds. Good times. Hope the trailer is an immediate success. RDR is good but it doesnt come close to the mighty GTA series. I take cars over horses any day GTA was my favourite franchise and formed most of my top ten games until I played RDR. It sh*ts on GTA from a very great height. Played both and it doesnt, GTA sh*ts all over RDR. Anyways, RDR is still great I'm a huge GTA fan and personally I'd say it is my overall favourite game series, but in my opinion RDR was a much better made game, not in terms of success or even lack of bugs/issues, but Red Dead was just such a fresh new concept at the time that hadn't been done to any great extent that it stood out so much. I said it in the other topic but I really do believe GTA is in a bit of a rut where they will keep doing modern settings and the 'flavour' of GTA for me was to play in a different era. The way that Red Dead reflected the Western world was so good, from the scenery to the sound effects it all just made you feel so immersed. I am listening to some suitable music that would be awesome to hear in the trailer. I know it's all ready an from an OST but still imagine it. Sweeping vistas at the start, dusty desert trails, rolling fields and red canyons.. Then as the sun sets large on the horizon @ 0:38 we see seven silhouettes appear through the heat haze over the rise, riding horses in slow mow towards the camera until 0:56 quick flash of black then we see a close up...its john marston. Yeah I think they're both very good standalone titles, I just think GTA has less of a sparkle compared to RDR simply becuase we've had more of them. It was definately the environment and pedestrians that made RDR so special - killing a store owner and seeing that store closed for days The minigames were great... I loved it when they put Poker and Liars Dice into Multiplayer. So many hours on freeroam in Tall Trees fighting bears haha! I have no doubt the single player will be good, I just hope that they don't sell out and create a pay to win multiplayer like GTAO.
