Heavy Sniper Bugged?

Still horrible... some guy took 7 heavy rounds to the head and chest and didn't die... so I committed suicide and went home

I've been getting lots of one hit kills with the heavy recently(with high levels, no bst), but too much of this hitmarker stuff as well. It's completely random.

I laughed my ass off at that second post saying "get gud" lol... but heavy sniper is bugged on and off. Sometimes it's fine, other times the range is totally bugged/decreased.

Was doing some piracy preventions with friends last night, sniped that level 40 guy 8 times in total, he still had full health.

Yes, the heavy sniper is broken. My friends were experiencing the same thing.

Sniped my team to victory throughout the 2x payouts playlist this evening until I was kicked. Seemed to be fine, save for the occasional lack of hitmarker.

Meanwhile, literally last week, I was shooting through NPCs standing right in front of me, hitting the benches they were sitting on, but not them.

It's ridiculous and needs to be fixed fast.

Are you that naive? These kind of bugs aren't a priority for Cockstar.

We probably have to wait until the next DLC for a fix. Just like with the RE7B speed glitch, it only got fixed with the biker update.

 

I'm on PC, so obviously when I noticed players not dying from my sniper shots, I started accusing them of god mode:

 

Cockstar completely ruined sniping in the game.

It works at short range, try shooting long range ie. Yacht to shore, here you'll see how it's broken since bikers.

Don't have a yacht, but I was picking people off on the edge of my draw distance well enough for a while earlier.

 

EDIT: Not to say it's fixed or anything, it's just slightly less broken than before, at least on PS4.

It's like they half asses fixed it but messed it up more. Instead of it just never doing damage past a pathetically small range like before, it's now hit and miss whether it'll actually do damage, when it does do damage it seems to be way stronger than before and one shot anybody even at long distances and the render distance is hit and miss as well. Sigh

PS4. Still from yacht to shore no damage and even sometimes character disappears but I get f*cking head shot!!!!

This is such a relief. I've been having the same thought for weeks. Just the other day I was doing some missions and I yelled, "How many times do I gotta shoot a motherf*cker with this thing now?!"

So it's still alive and well. I considered opening a support ticket, but what's the point? They'd just feed me BS and tell me to clear my cache.
