What are the rare cars nowadays?

Realize that in GTA Online "rare" has multiple meanings.

For me it is rare if you cant have the car and cant create it, like the modded green diamond near the golf club.

 

How is a normal street spawn MODDED?!?! It's just a stock car with unobtainable paint and window tint. There are a shîtload of cars with unobtainable colors in traffic. The customized cars at lsc are modified, since they got actual parts on them.

 

The worn sea wash Super Diamond actually has different rims to stock

 

Does it really? Meh, still nothing special apart from the color and the window tint anyways. And you can't store it either.

 

 

You can't store it, anymore... The worn sea wash green super diamond near the golf course might be one of the rarest, simply because I don't know of a way to get clear window tint on any console, even with mods.*

 

 

*On PC anything is possible, and even on console there are some rarer SP2MP cars if you go by sheer small numbers. Additionally, the NPC-modified dominator does have clear window tint, and is storable, which is nice!

 

On another note, I think having cars in your MC garage could be a rare car-related feature in the future, but we'll have to see if Rockstar banishes cars from the motorcycle garage.

 

 

 

 

super clear tint doesn't stick on pc. neither does green tint or yankton plates. or non lsc wheel colors (exception is if you transferred your account, non lsc colors do stick on transferred cars then). pc trainers in general aren't as advanced as console ones anyways. even when hooks still worked, most trainers didn't even have colors that weren't at lsc.

you probably knew that, but there is another hidden tint. stock dubsta (and maybe granger) have that one. it's kinda dark. but yep, you guessed it. resets on pc too.

 

it took them about a year to fix the bug that automatically reverted any bmx back to black after switching sessions..

I have been wondering, what are the rare cars left online? Technically I know there are modded cars you can find but im talking about rare types of cars. So far the only ones I can think of is the mariachi tornado and the dubsta 2, any others?

I know both the Imponte Phoenix and Imponte Ruiner are still unobtainable from any stores. They're nice looking cars. You've probably seen them driving around, they always seem common until you look for them.

I'm thinking of making a spawn-time list or something, as I've noticed very specific patterns with the Ruiners, appearing to spawn at very specific times of the day. (I think it was 6:00 ingame time and another time, but I could be wrong.)

Yeah, the ruiner exhaust is crazy, I used to have both of those cars back on 360 but when I got onto the one I realized the Phoenix was no longer rare and dumped it, then when I got rid of the Phoenix I got rid of my ruiner as well.

This makes me pine for the old days, i remember how excited i was to find a sentinel xs after days of searching. When i saw it for sale my heart broke a little bit. I still have it, it makes an appearance now and again.

Same with the Bagger in the biker's update.

It's not a bad looking bike. Remove the fairing and mount a shotgun exhaust and it looks like a classy ride.

 

But now you can just grab one off of the website. It doesn't even have any new mods.

Pretty bored with it now.

But finding them used to be difficult.

 

Still keeping my Phoenix and Futo though. Very fantastic cars that will always have a spot.

And this is a rare one because you can't keep it. That's pretty rare.
