It can be because of their personality, their ability, etc. Mine is Packie McReary for the obvious reason: that he was a vital character in GTA IV (one of my favorite characters in IV as well because he's a cool guy). It was great that Rockstar brought him back for V therefore, I always picked him as my gunman. I also like Christian Feltz, such a laid-back guy. I don't understand why but Ricki Lukens didn't call me before the Jewel Store Job therefore he wasn't available for the first heist (from what I have read and seen, we can use him for the first heist). So it was between Feltz and Paige, I picked Feltz because he was cheaper and I ended up liking the guy. Ricki complained to me after the final mission, lol. So who's your heist crew members? Oh and I really love Paige Harris as well. I remember the first time I encountered him and wasn't sure it was him. Looked so different to his GTA IV appearance. His distinctive voice made me realise who he was. Probably the coolest thing was on the way to the Paleto Bay bank job and him describing the events of Three Leaf Clover. Awesome nostalgic moment. Not only do you get her at a knock down rate, but her dialog is awesome. Packie McReary, because I don't have to look up the wiki to find his name. I would totally choose Packie for heists if the game allowed the player to do a Johnny K on his face. Come to think of it, that's the way to make those garbage, forgettable Snore IV characters memorable. Have Trevor add them to the bottom of his shoe, and voila! My first playthroughs of the game, I always chose the least expensive ones just to have more money for myself, and knowing that Rockstar didn't make the missions un-passable based on choices for heist members. However, on the PC, I went a different route, since I am using mods. I chose the best people and while my cut would be decreased, I noticed some differences in gameplay and dialog. The Jewel Store Heist, for example, Michael makes some comments about the hacker being worth the money, because I sprung for Paige. Michael also commented on how good the gunman I chose was because of how fast he was at helping crash the displays to take the jewels. But the thing that I thought was the coolest was that the better driver chose to outfit Franklin and the other guys on bikes with the Sanchez rather than a sports bike, and this made traversing the mud in the underground tunnels easier. That's the great thing about this game. Even years later you can discover new and awesome sh*t! Packie has some interesting perspective regarding events of Three Loaf Clover and I think really compliments Lester's comment in Vangelico heist about "Eastern European guy making moves in Liberty City" and having Packie offers sense of connection to GTA4 events and just feels right. Chef also too because he feels right, as Trevor suggested the idea, plus Chef is pretty cool character with good skill set in both weapons and drug production that otherwise goes underdeveloped and unnoticed if not used in heists. Taliana, because she is dirt cheap and remarkably skilled in her trade and offers few other benefits (such as ambulance in The Bureau Raid) that other drivers do not offer. Rickie, while underskilled is cheap and has good potential. His dialogue also funny and the way Micheal met Rickie also feels more natural and right choice. I would also say that receiving an impromptu facelift from Trevor definitely improved his looks. Johnny is memorable to me mostly because I get to see him EVERY TIME I post here in my signature. The Raven Posted October 20, 2016 Share Posted October 20, 2016 Hacker: Paige Harris Rickie's got poor skills even after completing one heist, he still doesn't learn much compared what Paige offers from the very start. Besides, he kinda annoys me. Paige might be a little boring 'cause she doesn't talk much but I'd take boring over annoying. As for her 15% cut, money isn't an issue. I always manage to score big on the stock market, especially with the help of Lester's assassinations. Gunman: Patrick McReary Experience, averege cut and interesting personality all rolled up in one. What's not to like? He was the only friend that I didn't mind calling me in GTA IV 'cause every conversation between him and Niko is hilarious (okay, I admit Brucie can be kinda hilarious too). It's a nice trip down Memory Lane when he talks about events from GTA IV. Driver: Taliana Martinez Excellent skills, low cut, kinda interesting. I hear you, but a few things to keep in mind: The heist characters are not hugely developed characters, nor do I believe they were ever intended to be. They are basically bit characters, some of whom come from little random events. lol I do think they have a helluva lot more interesting interaction than Vercetti's 100% completion bodyguards, thought. I think had Rockstar not abandoned SP DLC that the heist characters would have been expanded a lot more, though. So there's that. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Basically hire him for all Heist missions. The rest, Rickie even though I get my 2.1 Billions before hand. lol. After that jewelry job I hire Paige. She's Business unlike Rickie who talks your ears to death. Talinna is really good for bureau job and big score in obvious only. I can't currently think of anyone right now. The rest are over priced so that bugs me. At the same time I don't or will not have any employees for hire dead. I'm currently playing from scratch after so long...my final victory tour. Rhoda Posted October 22, 2016 Share Posted October 22, 2016 Packie has an unfair advantage for me, simply because he was one of the few IV characters you have the opportunity to maintain a positive relationship with. He's cheap and has fantastic stats after just one heist. I unfortunately missed him during my first playthrough as I didn't even know he was there. It's well worth tracking him down earlier on. Taliana also came through for the FIB break in by bringing an ambulance, making for a smoother getaway than I could have hoped for. I also used her for the big score, but skimped on the train driver because... well, it's a train. There's not much can go wrong at that point. Plus, I'm a greedy twat. Barely care for the other characters, only used Rickie for the hacks as he's cheap and it makes up for Packie being slightly more expensive than other reliable options if you keep them alive.
