I think the only way R* is going to stop focusing on Online is if people stop purchasing Shark Cards. The player base can be its own worst enemy, we want single player DLC, but we continue to support R*'s actions by purchasing their Shark Cards.

I personally don't buy micro-transactions of any kind, but the people that do, and state that they're somehow against it, are the worst hypocrites. If people want change, you gotta kick them where it hurts, and stop buying their bread and butter money maker, Shark Cards. I don't think it would be that difficult to do, if people somehow coordinated together and spread the message. This is only my vision, and I doubt that such a thing would ever happen, but it sure feels good to dream about it. Petitions don't usually work, but it's almost always the player base's actions that do. We're seeing this with Call of Duty, less and less people are buying the game each and every year. This is resulting in the developers continuously getting more and more desperate.

They would never listen to a petition, but they do listen when their sales are falling at a concerning rate. I think this would happen with R* if they saw their Shark Cards shrinking in sales, resulting in them reverting back to single player/paid-DLC's.

I hope there will be special weapons, horses and clothing for sale only through cashcards in online mode.

Would be cool with a superfast black horse with a golden mane and tail to be bought for 50$. Or a revolver with superfast reloading capability ans diamond ornamenting for 20$.

Of course there would still be items available in game trough progress and GTA$, Im just proposing that a few items should be reserved for those who pay with real money.

Terrible idea!

That'd turn Online into a true pay to win game

I do hope for a SP focused game. However, I'm not against tasteful multiplayer either. When I mean tasteful, not shark cards. Shark Cards to me is something I would expect from a CoD game or FIFA.

Also, SP DLC would be nice. I would happily pay for that.

The dilemma is, that for a huge chunk of the MP crowd, they're happy to not even complete the story. So why would the buy SP DLC? Then there's the people who actually like the SP/story and they find it easier not to buy shark cards, especially when the feel left out as there's no SP DLC.

I would suggest MP not being released for 6-months to a year after SP. (Yeah I know, that will never happen). Or completing singleplayer must be a requirement for MP.

They're bound to f*ck everything up over time like they did with GTA, but at least in going into it knowing what they know from the GTAO situation, they can for sure at least give us that level of quality.

That being said, I'm buying the game to see a young Marston and his troubles, not to get shot at by some tool rolling around with a Springfield.

I'll basically always vote single player for any game in truth. I don't play online in any way shape or form, I just don't really enjoy it. I like story driven campagn's I feel once you go online it's just a f*ck it free for all which doesn't interest me at all so the whole GTA:O for me at least is a massive waste of time.

I'm an old school guy, and I'll always be an old school guy. I've always preferred single player over multiplayer. I love to take in the atmosphere of an open world game such as Red Dead Redemption or the GTA franchise as a whole without being interrupted. Hence, my reason for favouring single player. When I started playing GTA III back in 2007, I fell in love with the single player aspect of the franchise, and to this day, my views remain the same.

Definitely SP focused as RDR has an amazing story and writing, I want that to continue with RDR2. Not opposed to MP either as i had tons of fun playing RDR with friends. Sunk hours of time playing king of the hill as you could'nt actually kill each other with punches. We just ride around looking for big fk off mountains to brawl on top off.

I certainly do prefer the focus being held towards the singleplayer mode since Red Dead Redemption's story was pretty damn good and I would love to see something similar.

However, I would like to see some more effort being put into the multiplayer mode for once. It shouldn't be as advanced as GTA Online, but I would like to see further customization of character and horse e.g.

The focus better damn well be on the single-player. I could not care less about a brain-dead online, unless RDR:O was done really well (unlike GTA:O).

Red Dead Redemption had a great story, easily one of the best R* have ever done, the single-player game was good and the multi-player was a bit of fun too.

But I really hope GTAV hasn't set a new and mentally deficient precedent in Rockstar games to say hell with a decent game and just rake money in from the online plebs.

I hope they're not abusing substances when writing this one like they did when they wrote GTA V. Please don't disregard the story, R*!

I want a balance of both. There's no reason for development and enjoyment of them to be mutually exclusive. Scripting whether for SP or MP is a trivial investment relative to creating the open world itself.

Single player of course. RDR's multiplayer was fun, but with all of R*'s games single player all the way.:)
