I love GTA, but i'm tired of Hackers.

I know R* got rid of most of them, but in all seriously, they should have some guys just focused on track down these mother f*ckers and make sure everyone have fair play on the game. Its in an Online game, in THEIR servers, and it seems they just dont give a sh*t about this.

I know this should be on B*moan thread, but i need express this in here, after trying to sell a single cocaine bike, this ZOMBIE EDDIE* modder jumped in (literally, i saw him doing that big jump like in Editor Mode) exploded my bike, and guess what? thats not the bad part, he just CLEANED all my ammo! 0 in every f*cking gun i own, it doesnt reset with that menu option and even changing session, still all my guns have 0 ammo.. yeah... funny right?? Lets just be idiots, building money, wasting time to save for vehicles, updates, then an asshole just comes and f*ck your game to compensate his sh*tty life.

How am i supposed to have fun with this game when its company allow hackers to be among us?

Want to be modder free? For now PS4 and Xbone is the only way to go. Thats for now though. Who knows for how long.

That's because they don't have barely anything in the way of an anti-cheat system. They just rely on the new consoles having not been cracked yet. At least that's my understanding of things.

Well, there's your problem, and it was always going to be the case. That's why I stuck to story mode on PC and just use my PS4 for Online. R* aren't going to do jack about it until the next game when they might improve their online security. But they probably won't.

I find the "real" hackers more of a problem nowadays. I don`t mean those in public sessions, they have been on PC since the mod menu launched with breaks in between the new updates. I`m talking about the ones who actually hack your SC account without you knowing. The SC account security is total crap and is apparently easy piece to hack, no matter how good your password or protection is.

I know what you mean.. ps3 was so frustrating when I'd blow up out of nowhere or someone would roll up wearing a cop outfit driving a cop car and when I emptied my shotgun in his face he would laugh pull out a pistol and kill me(that actually happened).. man was that frustrating at times. I don't even know how they are allowed to sell sharkcards for ps3 Xbox 360 and pc hearing about how broken they are.

 

No problems on ps4. The rare teleporter but it's really rare.

 

I don't understand why players cheat for kills.. why are you even playing at that point. I get the money cheaters but what the f*ck are these twisted players playing for if they are using full God mode. Where the f*ck is the fun in that?

PC is infested with modders, i prefer to play on single player because ever since the insurance fraud thing was introduced, i've been paranoid.

I've heard about this and seen some video. It's absolutely brutal someone would do this. It's one of the reasons I wonder how rockstar is even able to legally sell their sharkcards for pc or last gen.

Hackers and modders are pretty much the only reason I started playing only in invite only sessions back when I had an Xbox 360.Eventually I got used to it and started to like it more than public sessions,so stayed in invite only when I got a PS4,despite it apparently being much safer than old gen and PC.

I've always wanted to build a PC that's strong enough to play GTA V on mostly high settings, I like the idea of draw distance being extended as well as having more detailed textures and a better Editor/Director Mode.

 

However, that's the thing, GTA V is the only game I'd bother getting a PC for in the first place, and since Online has so many hacker horror stories as well as being risked into being banned for no reason is prominent in PC. I can get Overwatch and get a modded Fallout 4, but I'm strictly getting GTA V first if Rockstar gets off their ass and actually fix their anti-cheat.

I only bought the PC version for Self Radio. I'm surprised R* never added it to next-gen consoles. Plus, R*'s ineffectiveness in banning hackers is making me think that they're going to the way of EA, Ubisoft and Activision.

You won't get banned for "no reason". Idk what you read, probably that cheaters could mass unlock all your skins. Stuff like that is not true. If somebody drops money on you, just switch session asap. If you don't get much, you should be fine. There aren't many people dropping shîtty cheated money on people anymore anyways. They're well aware of how risky it is for them too. I've not been a victim of that since hooks got detected.

There's a certain trainer on pc which has many, many griefing options. Whenever you expose them, you're very likely to get crashed by those people. "Hey look, he doesn't like that i'm cheating! Time to crash him so he shuts up!". Idiots.

 

In general pc is way better than most of you make it out to be. The cheating decreased by A LOT. There's only one trainer to my knowledge that can blow you up, crash you or grief you otherwise. There was a point where you met multiple scriptkiddies in every single session. But thankfully those times are over.

OP is your ammo still on zero 0 ? I cant believe that cheaters can now do that, usually all your weapons would reset back to normal after changing the session !

 

btw. havent met a cheater so far in freemode after bikers update, there is a lot less of them than before.

Some people are talking about mods, but all I saw was someone trolling as a modder and just killing a bunch of greedy cretins in one go. That said, the places where script kiddies get their menus seem to have worked out how to cheat online. One good thing though, is that the old forms of harassment like blowing up players via a menu (and framing another) or attaching crap, seems to be gone for now. R* are also prompt in banning cheats it appears.

This, basically. Can't remember when i met the last godmode moron, when i was blown up the last time or when i got my guns removed. I've seen two time trial cheaters since the last update dropped, that's it.

Bought the game 3 times; ps3, ps4 and pc. But my main character only made it to the ps4 because I had a feeling there would only be a giant sh*tfest waiting for him on pc. And I'm just too attached to him and my legit cash to risk it all.

Luckily the new character I created on pc received a lot of money very quickly so I could buy all the things I wanted and more. But there is more to a character than pixelated materialism...

 

So I still play a whole lot more on the ps4 because it's just my favourite and first character, who grinded so hard for everything he has. It just feels like my pc character has no soul... Which is such a shame because the game looks so good on pc...

 

When RDR2 is released I'll only buy it for ps4, unless the story mode is really good, then maybe I'll buy the pc version too when it's eventually released.

Ugh who am I kidding, I'll buy it no matter what cause I'm just one of those hopeless Rockstar fanboys...

Same here, two hackers in 2 1/2 months (the time i've been on PC) One was last night and he blew myself and a mate up whilst cruising along. Probably friends with the player i too a bounty off, who were both at the FIB tower and a number of heavy sniper rounds to the face did nothing. One minute the ass hat is in their apartment, next they are behind me and there is a series of explosions and we are toast.

 

Had heard horror stories before but my experience has been pretty mior.

It might be better than it used to be, but consoles are the way to go to avoid modders. But you have trade offs of course.

It'd probably be hard rallying all the console players (of which I'm one) behind it. The effect of having no anti-cheat system is invisible on consoles, since they haven't been cracked yet (current gen anyway).

 

Plus, would a better cheat system mean money from duped cars being taken away? That would be a bit of a deal-breaker for most people.

 

That said, once the consoles do get cracked, the game will probably go to modder-hell. Just look at GTA IV on last gen consoles (as well as V on last gen consoles).

Nothing can happen to you on ps4 other than assholes shooting you for no reason and thats reason enough to stay solo.
