And here's some more food for thought. Many of you draw a line between glitching and hacking as if glitching is not as bad.

 

If the end result is you making millions without earning it, it is tantamount to hacking, it just took you somewhat more time.

 

Not really; think of it as the difference between finding some cash on the ground of a busy street [taking advantage of a coding error that may or may not involve dupes] and purposely taking a bit of cash here and there when no one is looking from a cash till or collections jar [purposely modding or "hacking"].

 

I personally think there is a line to be drawn between the two, but perhaps I'm in the minority. Either way, like I said, I've logged nearly 190 days of game time, purchased the game twice, and pretty much solely stick to playing jobs and spending my virtual money on cars, clothes, and paint. I don't think selling a few carbon copies of a Moonbeam because R* cannot figure out how to sort out their bugs is going to inflate the prices even more than they already are or destroy someone else's game play.

 

Besides, do you think R* is playing "fair" when they remove my engine upgrades (that I paid for with legitimately made virtual money) because of some coding error that they cannot be arsed to fix? Again, I'm not trying to argue or justify, but I do believe there are lines that can be drawn and the last couple of updates have broken more things than I could have ever imagined. Granted, nothing is perfect, but game breaking issues do not garner the same attention as a car dupe glitch (with only a limited amount of money one can obtain) from R*. This is where the initial problems lie.

Its simple if Rockstar fixed the glitches as they are found there wouldn't be topic for discussion.

Car duplication, dropped money bags, dead hookers, character swap, outright modded accounts...

 

Between all of these and ther similar methods, thousands of GTA accounts now have billions of unearned money.

 

All of the thousands of legitimate GTA accounts get not only nothing, but worse, inflated prices that are calibrated to inflated illegitimate account balances.

 

It's time for Good Sport Bonuses 2.0

 

R* has the ability to identify illegitimate money through analyzing various data points.

 

The innocent should get free money to help offset the cost of inflated prices.

there is no proof of modders and inflated prices being connected in any way besides it doesn't even makes sense since the difference is; a little money or infinite amount, which any thrown market price into a modder's face wouldn't even make a small dent.

Speaking of Good Sport Bonus. I got a Good Sport Bonus 3 or 4 times while duping. Makes perfect sense.

i had that while doing the hookers glitch in 2014 and during the recent mc club duping... i felt like R* was giving me a pat in the back, telling me to keep on going!
