Hey, it's been a while since I've been on so I thought I'd swing by and ask a question: What are your favorite and least favorite songs on each station?

Los Santos Rock Radio:

Favorite: CCR - Fortunate Son (Massive Creedence fan here.)

Runner Up: Belinda Carlisle - Circle In the Sand (Great song, moreso during a sunny day.)

Most Hated: Julian Lennon - Too Late For Goodbyes (This song is so silly. A kazoo? Really?)

Runner Up: Bob Seger - Hollywood Nights (This is the most sappy song in the game.)

Radio Los Santos:

Favorite: Clyde Carson - Slow Down

Most Hated: Gangrene - Bassheads (ANNOYING)

Runner Up: Future - How It Was (Autotune garbage)

Least Favorite: Tom Browne - Throw Down (I don't hate any of the songs on this station, but this one feels out of place.)

Least Favorite: Tom Rowland - Nothing But Pleasure (Wow this is annoying.)

Runner Up: Pulp - After You (This sounds like a British guy trying to do horrorcore and failing.)

Vinewood Boulevard Radio:

Favorite: Shark? - California Girls

Most Hated: Ty Segall - Diddy Wah Diddy (This is the most annoying song ever. I hate this station anyway.)

Space 103.2:

Favorite: Evelyn Champagne King - I'm In Love

Haven't thought that deeply about it tbh, but one of my definite most hated songs in the game is that "Don't Push Me Around" song.

 

Don't know if it's just luck of the draw, but seems at least 80% of the time I'm Trevor or steal a car with Channel X on THAT song is playing, and it just seems so vapid and stupid.

I find it interesting because "Comin' On Strong" and "Send Me An Angel" are both 80s new wave songs and they sound somewhat similar.

Los Santos Rock Radio:

 

Best: What a Fool Believes (Doobie Brothers), Comin' on Strong (Broken English), Circle in the Sand (Belinda Carlisle), Photograph (Def Leppard), I'm Free (Heaven Helps the Man) (Kenny Loggins). I like most of the songs on this station.

 

Worst: If You Leave Me Now (Chicago), mostly because of the terrible, terrible vocals. Same with the appropriately-named Big Log (Robert Plant), which wouldn't be terrible if it weren't for those.

 

I have to admit, I've become increasingly sick of Fortunate Son (Creedence Clearwater Revival), partly because it's so overplayed and partly because I just don't think it fits the station. There are better CCR songs to choose from.

 

 

Radio Los Santos:

 

Best: Everyday (Trouble feat. Gucci Mane), Bugatti (Ace Hood feat. Future and Rick Ross)

 

Worst: Hard to say, because the songs that don't come across as good just seem "average". Now that I think about it, Gangrene (Bassheads) can be pretty obnoxious. The chorus of ILLuminate (Ab-soul feat. Kendrick Lamar) gets tiresome once you've heard it enough.

 

Channel X:

 

Best: The Mouth Don't Stop (Fear), Blown Away (Youth Brigade)

 

Worst: My War (Black Flag); Harsh vocals aren't always a dealbreaker, but Henry Rollins just sounds like he's puking up his larynx, and nothing else in the song compensates for it. John Wayne Was A Nazi (MDC) is overly-political horsesh*t.

 

Rebel Radio:

 

Best: Highwayman (The Highwaymen); one of my absolute favorites. Convoy (C. W. McCall)

 

Worst: If You Wanna Get To Heaven (Ozark Mountain Daredevils). It's not a bad song in itself, but if I never to hear that f*cking harmonica again, it'll be too soon.

 

Those are the only stations I pay enough attention to pick out favorites and least-favorites.

Guess I'll repost my top 10 hated songs here.

10. Bob Seger - Night Moves

I've tried to like this song many times but no matter what I just can't stand this dull, babbling, acoustic soft rock ballad. Maybe in the 70s "talk-rock" made sense but it just feels disjointed today. If I want to hear spoken word done right I'll listen to the Doors.

9. The Lady Of Rage - Afro Puffs

I started to laugh the first time I heard this song. "I am the roughest, roughest, roughest. I am the toughest, toughest, toughest." Wow, such thought-provoking lyrics. They sound like they were written by a five-year-old. I can hardly stand this song. I know I'm not the only one.

8. Tom Rowlands - Nothing But Pleasure

Ironic title because there is no pleasure to be found in this ear-grating "music" (and it's this low on the list because this one isn't music, just noise). As a friend of mine even said, it's "terrible".

7. Sly Fox - Let's Go All The Way

 

Sorry to anyone who likes it but this song is proof to me that not all 80s songs are good. To be honest, this song is nearly unlistenable. I can't stand grunge at all and this song reminds me of proto-grunge. Don't even get me started on the camp factor of this lame, cheesy song.

6. Moloko - The Time Is Now

To any British readers, I know this song was popular over there (and didn't chart here in the US at all) but does anyone regard this song as being good? It's broken, it's stilted worse than Night Moves and the vocals are a good reason the mute button exists. The singer said she wanted to sound like Curtis Mayfield. Well, she can't pull it off. I hate having to go into Ponsonby's and listen to this nonsense while picking out stuff.

5. Mike Posner - Cooler Than Me

Gritting my teeth as I type this just thinking about the sissy vocals and the weird 8-bit synth that makes this song sound like it belongs on Mirror Park, which it does. I change the station every time it comes on. I'd rather listen to the Backstreet Boys song on the station....

4. Willie Nelson - Whiskey River

This song....is so BORING it's unbearable. This song warrants an immediate station change from me. You could use this song as musical torture. I'm surprised Trevor didn't whip this song out for Ferdinand.

3. Lady Gaga - Applause

 

This song is as annoying as it is bad. This song knocked Glamorous off my hate list because compared to Applause, Glamorous is listenable.

2. Gangrene - Bassheads

"Bass! Bass! Bass, Bass, Bass!" Can someone give me noise-cancelling headphones please?

1. Kylie Minogue - Kids

Remember how I said I hated grunge? This basically IS grunge. Soft grunge. Oh I hate this music. It doesn't help that the male singer is trying to sound like Creedence Clearwater Revival and failing.

I just know my absolute most hated song in the entire game is Yacht – Psychic City (Radio Mirror Park)

I don't know if it's the style but the singer sounds like she's trying to sound awful on purpose. I hear it nearly every time entering the discount clothing store.

 

That and the entirety of Rebel Radio, not one single song in there that I genuinely enjoy even a little bit.

 

On the other hand, Lady by Modjo is an absolute banger and I refuse to get out of the car when this song is playing.

Currently my least favorite track is probably "Heartbeat" by Don Johnson, while my favorite is "U Can't See Me" by Tupac

 

On LSRR I like Gimmie All your Lovin' and Danger Zone better than any other tracks on the station and its not even close

 

My least favorite WCC song is Afro Puffs by far

The worst song in the game is Music Sounds Better With you by Stardust. That pathetic excuse of a ''song'' is just less than 2 seconds of sound being looped for 7 minutes straight.
