grope_4_that_date
Well, it looks like the next game by Rockstar is going to be a Red Dead Sequel. Not that I'm complaining, but we all know Rockstar well and they tend to stick with one game at a time. Probably for the best... :'( Edit: God dammit, I made the same mistake again. RogerWho
And you conclude that how? And what indications are there for the next Red Dead anyway? And no, they don't tend to stick to one game at a time, quite the opposite. Until now anyway. Edit: never mind, I didn't know about the new hints. You might have specified that in your post, being OP you know. Edited October 16, 2016 by RogerWho

evd
its good, I hope they wont do online for RD, and will stick and focus on gta online till the next gta, im good with that, there're many things to be added to the existing game.

I actually DID consider that maybe there was a RDR hint dropped, but I thought that if that was the case, the GTAO and GTAS sections would already be full of locked duplicated threads and my IMs and email notifications from other forums would probably already be full of this... Neither of which happened.

Zello
Who knows depends on the release date of their next game. When they finally drop all the info on this new red dead game we might get a better picture. What if the new Red Dead game releases in the spring and they release another in the fall I mean 2017 is the 20th anniversary of the series so they better do something special. Shadowfennekin
Red Dead delaying the release of their best series? Can't see that happening. I hope we still get updates to Online at least when Red Dead is out, be nice to get a little taste of GTA still while waiting for VI's reveal. Wolfsbane Franklin
I really do not care much about RDR sequel because I hate Westerns. Like Hollywood still thinks Westerns is a hit not realising people are not watching that crap anymore. R* should put more effort on GTA or Max Payne sequel. No, Hollywood do not think Westerns are still a hit at all. Hollywood are massively desensitised and cautious of Western based movies since they crashed like f*ck in the 70's and made them more loss than they expected. The modern day Western is the super hero movie, which is given continuous and constant funding. But like the Western film did, it's going to crash one day. TLDR: Hollywood do not think Westerns are a hit. lemonhead118

XXVIII
I must definitely say that I was absolutely blindsided and taken back by this disclosure of the altered Rockstar emblem and the predominantly red and enriched backdrop / wallpaper, via a GTAFiveoClock retweet. At the very most, its prominent presence has frankly elicited a fusion of excitement, curiosity and a host of inquiries as to just how the visual / concept / aura should be construed. Currently, the feelings that I feel myself enduring are an exact emulation of those that immersed me upon being acquainted to the very voluminous and excitable realm of Grand Theft Auto: V, per my volition. With the aforementioned notion said, I find myself still processing and comprehending it all with some subtle trembles. Perhaps these trembles are not necessarily warranted, but this is the kind of impulsivity and excitability that I cannot bring myself to dismiss. Rockstar Games truly holds the unabashed and unprecedented capacity to captivate and strike at the very moment that you are oblivious to the impending and ineffable reality of their next videographic creation. The videography of Grand Theft Auto: V was but initially a glimmering trail that was authored by Rockstar and it implored the beholder (i.e. the global Grand Theft Auto fan base), to ascertain it's depth, verticality, assets, geographic landscape, and breadth of fidelity with realism and cinematography, the latter of which being dependent upon what the hardware can facilitate. To make a profound connection to the previous expository paragraph that you may have perused, and my appreciation in advance if it was your election to do so, lo and behold at the awesomeness of this potential Newswire announcement. You just never know what to expect and never can tell, ladies and gentlemen, and guys and girls. Even after a long roster of Grand Theft Auto: Online addendums, Title Updates and the departure of _M_r._B_e_n_z_i_e_s, that did not impede Rockstar from teasing a new accelerant that has many responding accordingly, in celebration, jubilation and anticipation. Pertaining to the visual that Rockstar disclosed itself, it appears very consistent with the theme and aura of Red Dead. That, and in of itself, is grounds for excitement and in turn preparations. However, it would be so awesome, so awesome, if the visual actually encompassed a glimpse of the theme of Grand Theft Auto: 'VI, with it being bloodier, darker, more sinister, et cetera. This is just my humble presumption. I hope that Sam / Dan Houser, Aaron Garbut and Rockstar North are in the developmental phase of that installment. Mac Tonight
So? Rockstar has a sh*tload more games under their belt than just GTA. Honestly though I'd rather see them come out with new information for Agent, but that project has gone quiet for a long time so I'm betting it's dead. A new IP being sided for another sequel. Just what the industry needs, more sequels. Edited October 17, 2016 by Mac Tonight RogerWho

Osho
It looks like a new Red Dead but who knows, maybe we'll find something totally unexpected for a shock factor. I totally despise RDR and so I'd be happy if Rockstar comes up with something different than what seems obvious for now. Like Agent, a new Manhunt title, or a new IP?? In any case, I don't think GTA will be much affected because I even doubt they have even started working full scale on the next GTA title since GTA O is still very much alive. As far as I know, Rockstar really does focus on one major title at a time with various aspects of other IPs are only at the preliminary stages of development. PB&Ritz
Correction: it's not coming out for another 5 years (at least), since GTA 6 might have multiple cities/places to go to.

UAL
Honestly i couldn't care less, anyone with half a brain can see that RDR was a better game than GTA V. GTA has gone stale IMO I can't remember the last time I enjoyed playing through a game as much as I did with RDR. If the next GTA has to wait a few more years to come out then so be it. Roll on the new Red Dead. Official General
heycorcverseneborc
3 years is a very optimistic guess. I'm %100 sure that R* isn't going to release gta vi sooner than 2023. They even haven't advertised the Storyl Dlc Yet. They advertise, release the Story Dlc. After that they'll start to the project of gta vi, which is going to take at least 4 years to complete. We have so many years to play that game i'm afraid . In order to faster the process, you have to stop playing gtao and buying shark cards.

nkjellman
I sure as hell hope that the next Red Dead title won't have a multiplayer like GTA Online. By that, where they keep on updating it for three years, rather than a new game. In all honesty, I can't see how they could update a Red Dead multiplayer like GTA Online, without it getting stale. I feel like it would happen quicker than for GTA. If they did do what they did for GTA, I hope that it doesn't go on for three or more years. Not to mention micro transactions and having to do repetitive tasks because payouts are weak. I am excited for a Red Dead title and I love the Red Dead series, but I don't like it as much as I like GTA as I like modern settings better than western settings. I also like having DLC for Single Player as well (as long as it doesn't stray far away from the original game theme like having zombies). But I sure as hell hope that this new Red Dead title comes out on PC. I don't wanna be stuck playing it on my PS4 at 30 FPS, and having the game go stale due to the lack of modding. As far as Max Payne is concerned, the game is fun and has a great story, but if it isn't open world, then I don't care. I prefer traveling to my next mission over a loading screen as it breaks immersion. Regarding the gap between their future titles, I also hope that they aren't as long as GTA V and the next title. If that is the case, it will take FOREVER till the next GTA title. On a side note, is anyone else wondering if they will stop releasing content to GTA Online when the new game releases? thatstupidbug
I'm not really happy, honestly. Not because i hate Red Dead (quite the opposite), but because we had plenty of GTAs by then. GTA IV, TLAD and TBOGT, plus CW. 4 stories for different taste (even if the city was the same). And Red dead was a welcome change of pace. But now we haven't had a new gta storyline since 2013. To me (and i don't think I'm the only one), a new gta story is long overdue. I'll end up buying rdr2, but still... Edited October 17, 2016 by thatstupidbug

Red Dead is always a preparation to next GTA (with engine, new technologies, new ideas and concepts) GTA4 > RDR > GTA5 > RD3 > GTA6 Seems like it will be a prequel. We can suppose they could try to connect two maps: a previous from RDR and the newest RD3. So its mean we wont have any SP and MP DLC (map expansions for GTAO), while R* will try to introduce and show all their map with all mentioned GTA cities. Ground Zero Recruitment!
