Red Dead Redemption 2: Discussion & Speculation (Part 1)

The real question is, will we have the option to remove our hat? I think we will!

Ru0vuI4.png

I'm also looking forward to using our bandana in stealth scenarios!

I would wish so much if we could!

It would also be realistic if we lost our hat in some situations ... maybe our enemies could shoot them down or we would lose them on a bucking bronco.

I hope we will find our hat then :D

Side mission: Find your hat

Another thing is Bill mentioned that they (Dutch's gang) thought of John as an arrogant son of a bitch and how none of them really liked John. It's going to be really interesting to see how this bond and so-called loyalty is in Red Dead Redemption II. When John isn't around maybe they'll talk behind his back and stuff? I've said this before but I can't wait to see how these fellas worked on the same page with one another and how they didn't work. Maybe one had differences when getting a job done? Bill is probably going to be the wild one of the bunch. Can't wait!

Redemption II will bring one of the best, and unique, written set of characters this generation.

I'm watching the first season of Rawhide. real cowboy stuff

Young Clint Eastwood but Wishbone is the best :D

"Why are you always only the first when it comes to food. Do you think you are the only one hungry here?" 😂

I liked driving cattle in RDR. Maybe we can rustle it this time and sell it somehow.

By the way, turns out Morgan is a last name that is of ancient Welsh origin that later also became common in Ireland and Schotland. Maybe Arthur's forefathers were close to John's back in Europe haha :D

This looks so interesting imo what do you guys think about it?

That is definitely Marston, even the side profile looks the same.

Jesus Christ Lol cuts in a hat? This is what we are going off of? Just because john was once apart of Dutch gang doesn't mean that that he will be apart of RDR2. The Van der linde gang was active after they left john for dead too. Now granted, they try to keep the identity of the unknown character questionable. I'm not confirming sh*t from a black pair of pants and cuts in a hat.

This. By the way: The cut on the left side of the hat of the "train man" can't be seen on the screenshot of John (where it's in the FRONT of his hat) because it would be on the LEFT side, that comparison is just stupid. And the man on the train looks like he is either black or has really brown skin. "Skinny pants"?! Come on. In that artwork their pants look like they all got pretty much the same width and - sorry for the sarcasm, but - no one wore baggy pants back then. All we can say is, that this is the same man/hat from the person on the right behind Arthur in the swamp scene.

I don't know how you see that, but the dude on the train definitely doesn't look black. Same for the guy that talks to arthur. He's clearly a native American. He even wears the traditional tribal clothing and necklace.

Okay for the guy on the train: Not sure. But the other guy...Yes, he wears the clothes and has this native haircut. That's "just" clothes and a haircut. To me and some other guys here (we had this discussion a while ago) he looks like an afro american who was raised by or lived with the natives.

I don't know who is this user (@wheresowamoney), but what caught my attention was the resemblance to the Red Dead Redemption 2 art style, what do you guys think about it? (Its a Wild West Online screenshot, my bad guys, thank you @Jason)

No need to apologise, you weren't the first person to be fooled by a WWO screenshot.

That could very well be and i agree frome some points of view he looks african, but i hope it's a true native american. They were so under represented in rdr1. It would be a missed opportunity in my opinion. Unless of course Arthur has a few other native allies. Edited by SuperKitsune

Maybe hes just mix.. A Black Indian as they were/are calledhttps://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Indians_in_the_United_States

That's another option, yes. But to me he's not a "normal" native.

Agreed, there’s some interesting things going on with his genetics.

Maybe his dad was a Buffalo Soldier or THE Buffalo Soldier from RDRevolver <insert mind blown gif>

But the thing is, if looks at the screen, he looks black, but from the side view he gives a more native appearance.

I just watched that part for like 10 times and i swear from the side his facial features and certainly the form of his eyes look more native and the moment he tilt his head towards Arthur his eyes look rounder and his nose a bit bigger which gives an african vibe. This character is really interesting and i have a feeling he will be a very important ally to Arthur.

Very possible if you look at him from the side he most certainly looks Aztec until he tilts his head towards the camera. Really confusing.

Does Dutch prefer his bag as a crocodile skin or maybe a littler animal fur on it? :D

It's CJ's great-grandfather, "Two Gun Johnson." We've found him!

And now we know that CJ is 1/16 Cherokee!
