Don't be surprised if there isn't another trailer next. Everything won't be just trailer after trailer for RDR2. Expect screenshots, read details etc

Today may be some bullsh*t about a livestream or maybe not..either way everyday is a possibility imo. R* are so f*ckin spontaneous and random who knows. I can tell u this much, as sure as death and taxes..something is coming SOON.

Just been rewatching trailer 2, i for one think Morgan is f*cking badass. However I wonder if 2's time line is closer to 1's than most are speculating, or even overlaps and goes beyond the first year of Marston's death? Thoughts?

That's a good question. IMO if that were the case, it'd have to be a story where we start off way before the events of the first and then slowly creep closer and closer to RDRs original story.

 

The only problem I have with this is like many others have stated before, John never mentioned Arthur in RDR (albeit because at that point Arthur's character wasn't even created yet.) so I can't see how the two can over lap timeline wise unless something happens to lead John to believe Arthur is already dead (like maybe he fakes his own death) because if not Arthur would've definitely had to have been someone John hunted down in RDR.

 

Of course there's an answer to that too, as myself and some others have speculated, it's possible that in the beginning of RDR when John steps off the ferry, he's coming back from killing Arthur and other otherwise yet unnamed members of the van der Lind gang. Thus explaining why their never mentioned. He's already dealt with them. Or so he thought.

My guess is the story of rdr2 takes place in 1894, 17 years before the first one. John is 22 then and Dutch 36.

 

Although life was harder back then, I don't think Dutch is only 36 years old in RDR 2. Even Arthur looks older than most 36-year-olds today. And I think Arthur is younger than Dutch. imo Dutch is in his mid 40s in RDR 2

Agreed, while I'd love and hate a new trailer (part of me wants to keep as much of the game as possible a surprise so I kinda want to avoid more trailers even though I know I won't)

 

I can't see them releasing another one just yet. At most I see a release date announcement with some screenshots and possibly an article delving deeper into the motives and lifestyles of Arthur Morgan and the van dear lind gang.

 

But then again I know f*ck all about marketing sooo anything is possible I suppose.

Dutch is 53 in RDR1 and Arthur looks like he's 42 in RDR2. Dutch and Arthur look the same age in in the trailer of RDR2. Soooo..then the story would take place in 1899-1900. John would be 27 then. Man...so many possibilities, so few anwsers...

Either Arthur tries to infiltrate into Dutch's gang under pressure of the Pinkertons because they have something dear to him or...he's just a power hungry maniac that wants control over West-Elizabeth.

Whatever the case, i know the story has to be creative. It won't just be some cookie cutter simple bullsh*t ass story where they just fill in the blanks of RDR.

Dude, that's a given. The man was the most notorious gunslinger in West-Elizabeth 10 years prior to RDR1.

Guys, I'm almost certain they posted the announcement later than this. I remember coming home from class around 10:30est, and checking to see if anything was posted. After refreshing several times, I didn't see anything. I was scrolling the forums about an hour later when I saw someone post the announcement. Maybe it was just slow to update for me idk. I'm not even sure they'll do anything today, but I know it'll be very, very soon.

Why are you guys expecting news today?

There was a very similar pattern in their Twitter posts, which if significant, point to an announcement either today, or next week. I posted a list for comparison a few pages back...

Alright, it must've just been slow for me then. I still wouldn't rule out 11 for an announcement though...

Monster Hunter beta is ok, but for 2018 it's not an example to the technological achievements of current gen, only rockstar knows how to do it.

I was pretty disappointed when i watched Red Dead trailer 2, not enough and no wow factor, hope to see soon something that will blow us away.

What do you think?
