I'm hoping for a nice big map with a varied landscape. I can't [email protected] wait to go hunting in the Red Dead world again.

yes that is definitaly something to look forward to. hopefully they have a lot of huntable animals and you can skin them and sell it at a general store like in the first redemption. animals always make a game feel more alive. if there are swamps i really hope they add alligators. after playing mafia 3 they add a creepy and dangerous part to the bayou just like bears and cougars do in tall trees. also allow them to be killable and skinable too.

Having a closer look at the artwork that's definitely Dutch's gang and John Marston is the left one next to the middle one.

I hope there's still a single player component, or at least one that lives up to the first game. I'm paranoid about them neglecting single player, mainly because of how they treated GTA V.

 

The fact that they didn't mention SP in the release announcement concerns me. I just woke up to this news, and I haven't really been following this topic (I'm assuming this has already been discussed).

yeah people hopping to conclusions just because a company dared to mentioned online mode. Its probably nothing more than a GTA online thing (which wasn't bad when connectivity issues were solved)

They didn't explicitly mention SP, but they said that it's a new game that also lays the foundation for a new online experience or words to that effect.

 

So - it's the same as V and Online. There's a single player game, there's an Online game that uses the same world.

He didn't say that, though. What he said was some pretty generic developer speak we've heard a million times from a million different developers. I want to say let's wait until we see the trailer, but it likely isn't going to alleviate people's concerns about the online aspect. I'm sure it'll look very pretty and have a slick presentation, though, like all R* trailers.

With the Red Dead Redemption franchise, Rockstar have literally thousands of years of stories and ideas for future installments, from Swordsmen with horses to Zombie Cowboys, and eras from Chinese Dynasties to British empire etc.It the #1 answer to Ubisoft's Assassins Creed franchise.

I'd welcome a Red Dead Online or something that fits the formula with the Red Dead "twist" to it.

 

Gang Hideouts are sure to be in but maybe missions? I'm almost 99% sure they'll be player customization. Wanna be a outlaw? Wanna be a lawman? Wanna be a Marshall? Wanna be a Miner? Countless ideas!

 

Can't wait to dive into Rockstar's next open-world. We are in for a treat.

Capcom sold the trademark and name way before Revolver or the first RDR was released to Rockstar for $22 million and they turned it into another multi-million dollar franchise.

Let's not forget that Rocksar made like nearly 3 Billion dollars from GTA V/Online alone. Red dead Redemption 2's budget must be quite big compared to any other Rockstar title, so that is something you can look forward to.
