Red Dead Redemption 2: Discussion & Speculation (Part 1)

I don't think they'd do that in an open world multiplayer, would be too glitchy...unless they figured out the technology.

As for singleplayer it will definitely be back.

I doubt a delay is needed just for pro and X versions. If a delay is needed, it's likely due to development issues.

Well of course they will show gameplay at some point, but Rockstargames isn't some weak ass developer like Ubish*t, that has show extensive GAMEPLAY over and over just to build anticipation. Yes there may be a gameplay trailer maybe even 2 of them, but a series? Idk about all that.

Euhm... I remember Rockstar doing a gameplay video series for Red Dead Redemption just as that weak ass developer Ubish*t. Or should I say Rocksh*t? LOL Rocksh*t, Cockstar whatever you want to call them, i dont see a gameplay series happening with RDR2 just because RDR did it. Maybe if its delayed again to compensate for the wait yes, but a slew a gameplay? Ehh idk

Yeah, I'm expecting one single player gameplay video, and one for multiplayer, just like GTA V.

It'd be pretty nice to get a whole series of videos like Redemption 1.

was dead-eye mode available in RDR's multiplayer? I mean in combat with others?!

they certainly implemented bullet-time into Max Payne 3's multiplayer! (good god, it was the best/most satsifying gunplay ever.....EVER)

just sayin, they will bring slow motion (bullet time/dead eye) to Red Dead Online, won't they? or is this option just out of question due to the open world?

I wanna fire away, empty the rounds of my dual-wielded revolvers and then reload, ALL IN SLOW MOTION!

That's what single player is for.

And yes there was dead eye in online, but it was not slow motion.

I think slow mo deadeye will be in multiplayer. It will only effect the players in view of the person using it, simple.

MP3 but better

That's how I see RDR2 being, a refined MP3 in America's Heartland. The ambitious and compelling features and mechanics made MP3 a dope experience. The ability to jump, shoot, turn around, and land on your back and continue shooting was everything to me. How a headshot would leave a enemies gunshot wound squirting blood, how the guns were handled made MP3 one of my favorites. I picture Rdr2 having some new innovative features and mechanics, im beyond excited to finally see.

I can't stop watching the second trailer. I'm so f*cking hyped right now that I've convinced myself we're definitely getting something within the next week or two.

Dangerous thinking, I know.

Part of me says I'd love to have multiple gameplay trailers while the other part wants to keep everything about the game a secret until I play it. just give us one more trailer and a release date and I wouldn't mind...I miss the days before I had access to the Internet the way it is now. When a game came out especially R* and you knew practically nothing about it until you explored the world yourself. Good times, man.

Now it seems like a day after release you can go online and know anything you want. Sometimes even before release.

Also: I think one of the main reasons why RDR got so many gameplay trailers was at the time RDR was a completely new IP for them I mean yes, they had revolver but you can't really even call them the same game and I honestly don't even think a lot of people played that (compared to GTA at the time) so R* naturally had to showcase more of the game to their audience so that people would know exactly what the game was and what to expect. RDR2 is already established in a franchise so I don't think we'll see as much advertisement as we did with RDR1. But I could be wrong, just my opinion.

I was thinking about Dutch gang, is there more reasons why that gang has been dissolved ? Or just because Dutch went crazy ?
And that girl from trailer, lot of people think she is Heidi McCourt, but do we have confirmed that she was a memeber of dutch gang ? She could easily be just a witness on ferry, maybe she said something what upset Dutch and that´s why John didn´t remeber her name...
Also thank you guys for introduced me Godless. Now im going to watch fourth episode, there seriously rdr 2 vibes..

Im on board with this. I like knowing almost nothing and having a small idea of what to except. I actually just did this with StarWars a few minutes ago lol I had only watch the original trailer and that was all, leaves out others opinions of what is good or bad

The top one is the letter "D" for Dutch presumably.

We had this discussion months ago. yes, you can't expect everyone to read everything, but still: greenrock is either trying to troll again, or he's really serious this time. I think he is trying to troll again, because he was part of that discussion on July, 02. this year in the "RDR2 Screenshot Analysis Thread", page 8, lower area.

For everyone else, i posted this in that thread in July:

gdb.jpg

"D" for "Dutch" would be logical, but i still think it's a "G".

If greenrock isn't trolling this time, i'm sorry, but it happend too many times.

Ya, I did that with GTA 5. I wanted to see the game so bad, when it leaked on YouTube I watched it and not that it completely took away from the initial impressions that you get but I had already seen it.

That's why I'm going go dark the weeks maybe month before the game releases. I will have preordered it so I'll wait and experience all of it, only what R explicitly showed in the trailer and screens.

Collectors edition with Dutch's rings, Vinyl Soundtrack, Artwork book, Steelbook and an Arthur Morgan statue would be epic.

Does anyone on here watch a show called The Son? It's a western on AMC, supposedly a solid show, but I have not seen it.

Ah, I’ll have to find that. That definitely looks more like the G but then it, or the lion, would be on the wrong way.. hmm

Spaghetti Cat

I haven't been active in the screenshot thread, so forgive me if this has been asked/answered before, but the picture above of the two guns is that the same person holding two guns? Or is it two people? It would be neat to dual wield like in MP3. Thx in advance!
