GTA Online "The Doomsday Heist" trailer was literally just on TV. It was on the USA Network during a commercial break for SmackDown LIVE. Has Rockstar ever made their GTA Online trailers air on TV? I don't watch TV much but that's a first I've seen Rockstar do promoting a big Update for GTA Online like that on television. (Not that there is anything wrong with that...)

Last push maybe, get people to buy the game, play online. Milk the most out of it, because RDR is on the way... I do think this is it I terms of DLC updates for online, it's just overboard with the flying car.. SMH lol. And I actually enjoy online and the whole narrative etc but it's gotten crazy past few DLC.

 

But to your point I think I've seen a few times they marketed but it may have been early dlc so, back to what I said last push..

I'm wonder what the weapons in the game will be. I hope they keep the same system as in rdr, only 2 guns, primary and second sry, but improved. Should be allowed to carry along with knife, a hatchet! I want a fricken hatchet and a tomohak so I can "scalp they muthafu.... Ass" .

 

And I want it show, if you carry hatchet, like Rick Grimes form walking dead as visual ex.

 

I like the new bow as well, that gonna be dope, but I wonder how that will work with the system. We actually most likely seen when we get the bow, in the trailer of "were my money" , you can see the bow, probably dude give it to him. Side note: dude seems like a main side character, gives off like a lester, Nigel West dickens type vibe.

 

Back to weapons, we love weapons. Any other weapons you guys want to see, how they should be implemented etc?

Yes, and I hope this isn't the case. The weapon wheel is way too bloated in both games.

 

I dream of something similar to Max Payne 3, but I doubt it'll happen.

Having a lot of weapon options benefits the sandboxy style, where you can switch up your combat style when ever you want, sniping from a distance, run and gun shotgun, etc. That said, I agree that GTA:O's weapon wheel is a shambles these days so limiting how many weapons you can hold wouldn't be a bad thing imo.

No, no. Weapon wheel is fine, but you can only have two weapons out. You can have multiple rifles or pistols but have to choose which you carry.

 

That's how it was in rdr if I remember

Never played online, but I think that's how the weapons system worked because I remember having to decide what rifle I wanted based on states and what not, cuz I didn't want to keep switching. There may have been a limit even to how many rifles you could have..

I'm pretty sure the original Heists update got TV commercials too. I wanna say there was at least one more. Maybe Cunning Stunts?

Yeah, kinda like the classic 3D era gta's where you would only carry one of each specific weapon. I'd say that sounds good. Wouldn't want a sh*t load of rifles in-game to only select one specific rifle that i want to use while i'm exploring through the map. Something V did with it's weapon system. But i wouldn't mind a little change in RDR2's wheel. If R* still decideds to use the weapon wheel of course.

I'd be pretty happy with the old GTA style of you can only carry one of each tier of weapon.

 

However, I'd really like being able to only carry what you can on your person. Hell, maybe over the course of the game you'd be able to upgrade yourself to be able to carry two rifles on your back, similar to The Last of Us.

Actually, I think limiting load-outs adds quite a few benefits, namely towards replayability. A mission could be completely different depending on what weapon you are stocked with. I don't think they'll do it but I also don't think it's of no benefit.

Why? It looks like the gun in GTAO is gold. It probably just unlocks a gold skin for the double-action revolver in RDRII.

I hope so, I really do some other games have gotten slimmy with weapon variations so I'm just being a bit skeptical and also a little nervous. Anyway....

We won't have long to wait now fellas..if we can just hang in there another month (worst case scenario) I can feel it, RDR2 is among us.. if i had to guess I would have to say, RDR2 screenshots is next and or a release date. Imo it could very well happen this month too. I'm not going to jump to conclusions but i would hate to see 2018 roll in and we are still in the dark about rdr2..but I have high hopes and I believe we won't have much longer to wait now.

On another note, if you haven't played & experienced the new update lol boy are u missing out.

Perhaps she's talking about Bully and the release was somewht pushed?

I dont know her Twitter bio says 2018 and shes following a lot of people with the rdr2 wallpaper as their profile pics. Shes also following some people from this forum as well.
