Anyone here who likes Edgar Ross? I can't remember the name but someone on here said, "Edgar Ross was the hero and John Marston was a criminal, who doesn't deserve a second chance." Anyone agree with this? Oh boy were almost there, I'm so excited for tomorrow! I think were getting a trailer, that's gonna introduce the main protagonist(s).

I was rewatching the trailer and this is my favourite scene.

 

On top of the skies, I also love how the fire reflects off the trees, atmospherically it looks insane. Great composition of the fire and the stars.

 

I guess now people can see in the dark better at night because of the shining stars

-the center guy is the main character, probably a new guy (or possibly a custom character)

Also one of my favorite scenes from the trailer! I can't help but think if they put that much detail into the sky, there has to be another reason beside aesthetics, although I don't see what they could do with it I imagine it has some gameplay mechanic to it, like assassins creed origins where you use the sky to solve certain puzzles. I don't see rockstar going the puzzle route, but I definitely see something here, just not quite sure what yet. Bring on Thursday!

Expect to see UFO's when zooming into the night sky with telescopes

We all saw the UFO anomalies on the announcement poster for Thursday

Perhaps there might be Predator Aliens since GTA 5 and RDR2 are part of the HD Universe.

 

This photo reminds me of a episode of Full Metal Alchemist, where the characters were sitting under a tree just like this and talking about strange things. I tried looking for its episode, but it might of been part of the movie so i gave up. My God a ufo crash/alien fight would be an awesome Easter egg, can just see myself chasing after a ufo on horseback as it smolders and smokes it's way through the night sky just to get to the crash site where you can either help the wounded creature or kill it and take some rare loot to sell for a high price.

On a completely unrelated note,I hope the super realistic physics(or the RAGE engine) goes into full realistic mode.

 

It's a bit funny how much time I spent at draggind people around with the lasso and see how the engine handles this.

To be fair to GTA V, that game probably had the most realistic physics. When you shot people in that game they fell over instantly which is usually how it happens in real life. RDR and GTA IV are exaggerated to be more like action movies, which I definitely prefer.

 

Yes, but also in V if you shot someone in the foot they died 10 seconds later

GTAV and RDR aren't part of the same universe considering RDR mentions real world locations and not the likes of Liberty City.

 

Also no I doubt the normal occurance of sitting around a campfire in the woods with a clear night sky is some homage or Easter egg for some anime. Lol

They aren't trying to trick anyone about features by using cutscene footage, a story trailer will obviously feature cutscene footage. Most games that are story based will have trailers based on cutscenes.

 

Agree. Remember the first Redemption trailer? It was in 480p, had a terrible framerate and an aliasing that made your eyes bleed

I rarely finish the game properly because I don't want a fair duel with Ross. Instead I use dead eye and pump him full off bullets so the f*cker flies into the lake. Then I turn of the console. The end.
