I'm not upset they delayed the game.... I'm upset because they're neither acknowledging nor talking about it. :bored:

They had perfect opportunity to release some info today on Destiny's 2 release day.

You know... to downplay Activision a bit.

Also GTA V is 4 years old next week ugh...

Marketing wise that would be the worst idea ever. The games don't compete with each other.

last 1,5 weeks of September RDR2 news will start to spread.

No news till then. They are releasing NBA 2k18 before and want to have all possible attention for that

As i keep saying their keeping quite about RDR2. Not even tweeting or saying anything about like "Oh yeah RDR2 is in the works with possible upcoming screenshots"...No.

They probably forgot about RDR2. They're like, "What game?"

To be fair though, Rockstar Games isn't the only developer having huge gaps between asset releases for their upcoming games. Naughty Dog for example announced The Last of Us Part 2 in December 2016 with a teaser trailer and have shown nothing about the game since ... even though by that time Neil Druckmann said that he can't wait to share more about the game in the coming months!!! There'll likely be something shown at PSX this December, so that's exactly a 12 month info drought ... so it can be worse!

Red Dead Redemption 2 announcement: October 2016 - first info in May 2017 (7 month drought) - now (approaching 4 month drought)

The Last of Us Part 2 announcement: December 2016 - now (9 month drought)

As long as R* delivers an extraordinay gaming experience I'm happy and ...

... as long as they actively work on Bully 2 now and finish its development and announce + get this game out right after RDR2 ... finally!

We deserve a sequel to one of Rockstar Games' finest.

@Spaghetti Cat

Definitely wasn't expecting that Anjuna... :D

Do you know about the Label/Trance or just randomly posted it?

______

I smell a second delay... man that's terrible :facedesk: .

I guess they'll never learn.

The game's 8+ months away. We can start worrying about delays if we get to January with no information, seeing as that's exactly what happened with GTA V.

Well, we didn't get to January with no information but we sure did get a delay announcement in January.

..Yea that's what I meant. But yea, we're in a very similar situation with GTA V now, wouldn't be insane to think that we can expect their plans to be very similar in regards to promotion and, potentially, a delay announcement.

To be Fair to Naughty Dog, since the release of GTA V and The Last Of us (since they came out a couple months apart from each other ) Naughty Dog has also released - The Last of Us: Left Behind DLC, Uncharted Nathan Drake collection, Uncharted 4 and Uncharted the Lost Legacy, all Rockstar has given us is GTAO.... by the time Rdr2 actually comes out it will be over 6 yrs since Max Payne 3 came out. that is beyond ridiculous. so within that time all we will have gotten was one f*cking game.

I think we've already had our delay, and we're just in the phase of 'taking ages to say anything' tbh. I doubt they're going to delay it significantly again, if anything a week or two like MP3's final delay, and even that one was due to shipment constraints.

Not to mention the fact that The Last of Us Part II got an announcement 3 years after the first. Red Dead Redemption came out in 2010, and we just got the announcement of a sequel last October.

Artwork first or more screenshots?

At some point, I think we would start asking R* to just write Red Dead Redemption 2 somewhere. 5 pages of analysing what they're hinting at guaranteed, plus 50-100 guests, two of whom are Rockstar ninjas.

Yeah, I barely lurk here anymore due to the guessing about what type of information we'll get every single day. Today! Tomorrow! Next week! Next month! I became addicted for about a month or two speculating but I realized its not healthy (joke).

It's gonna happen but that's on Rockstar's watch. When something does happen, a smile will ensue.

Fifteen thousand replies, seven hundred thousand views - for a game that's not even got a release date. If Rockstar are reading this thread, I'm not sure if they'll feel sorry for us or be worried about our well being.

Not sure they felt sorry for the even more people who were around for GTA V. :p R* be evil. Edited by Spider-Vice

If Take-Two Publishing (The Independent initiative) and Social Point succeed in becoming a bigger part of the company and the "Third label" after Rockstar and 2K, then all these long years before releasing a game Non-2K Sports will come to an End. At the same time I think Rockstar will take 10 years making one game meanwhile they have 9 Game Development Studios (including New York), even 2K with 9 Game Studios which released XCOM 2, Civilization 5, Battle Born, and Mafia 3 all in one year have no title this year (again excluding 2K Sports). Take-Two Interactive need to change things around the company, something is not right and the excuse of "many titles in the pipeline" is getting old now especially for a $10 Billion company. To be fair i think the Gaming Industry "Hit model" hence the release of two games from each publisher Big or Small (A-B, EA, T2, Ubisoft, Square, Capcom etc.) then DLCs afterward need to change however i hope not become like the Film Industry with 20 films from each film studios which is now a declining business (I only went to cinema once so far this year). The future of gaming is so exciting but changes are needed as well.

I wonder if we'll be able to go prone just like in Max Payne 3 and in the Nervous Ron mission in GTA V?

It's going to be rather interesting to see how Rockstar handles women in rdr2.

Yea but who cares about those people. Us RDR2 faithful are more important.

It would be cool if there's more strong female characters like Bonnie, Abigal, Luisa, and the Nun from UN. Maybe a prostitute gone outlaw or femme fatale.

If they continue with multiple protagonists it would be a missed opportunity if they didn't do a female protag, I can understand them not going for one if it's a single protag though.

A week into September and still no winner on RDR2 info vs TF2 Jungle update

Rockstar vs Valve, the competition where no one wins and the customer loses
