No, from what I've heard now, apparently these mission counts unlock the discounted price for those vehicles, but the vehicles are still dripfed. God damn it. Regardless... They have until September 22nd, I reckon we might see something soon. Please?

At this point GTA Online is likely just made by a small team at North who is probably told to do "this and that", maybe the order for more DLC even comes from the upper floor of the NY office - Take Two. The Rockstar we all love is pretty much doing RDR2 right now or whatever other things they have in the pipeline.

Let's hope you are right. I'm confident though that Red Dead Redemption 2 will be no letdown at all.

Surely it was said here months ago, but to be cynical, we could assume that the big delay in RDR2 is because the corporate strategists are racking their brains trying to figure out how to position RDR Online to be as much of a cash cow as GTA Online.

 

On the face of it, that's impossible. There just aren't enough RDR period-specific ideas, content, missions, weapons, vehicles, etc to match even 5% of the avalanche that GTA Online has become. But money people aren't too logical or realistic - they just keep pushing the creatives to figure out how to monetize the sh*t out of RDR Online. It's a stalemate - with months of potential RDR2 content design being lost in the meantime.

 

The real shame is that it would be easy and fun for the creatives to design RDR2 content that would keep the game replayability high and fun. But that doesn't make any money, so that's not even a consideration.

I'm actually related to the housers too, my aunt barbara is married to dan and sam's uncle, klaus houser! sometimes when I'm at their place sam and dan happen to show up with white cake and give us the latest. and believe it or not, just 15 minutes ago dan and sam dried the dishes and left, and before that they said that the game development is going relatively fine, but even if they had all the DLC ready and free content packages bundle'd up: they both swore they couldn't release it yet. because the benz went to court over this bullsh*t lie how they took his money or something. bummer eh?

 

btw does that make us all one big family?

RDR2 news in September, I got faith in R*.

Doesn't mean we'll only get one vehicle per week, or new content every week.

 

Also we're assuming Rockstar is not willing to announce RDR2 info as GTA:O content is coming out. As far as Rockstar is concerned, this drip-fed content is not official, so next week's new content is a still 'mystery'.

 

I really want new info already.

I get more joy seeing the excitement on all the kids faces in the GTA Online section when an update drops Theres people all over social media just playing it for hours and hours a day, I feel burned out reading it all and haven't even played for months.

 

Meanwhile, I just want to get out onto the open plains of the heartlands and ride my horsey. The news that comes in September hopefully will be meaty enough to keep us talking into 2018 when the real countdown starts.

It's been like four years since GTA:O came out, it's not a surprise that people are bound to get bored. I haven't touched GTA in months really, and Gunrunning and Smugglers Run never interested me. I've played a bit of Gunrunning, haven't bothered to launch GTA V for Smugglers Run.
