No, that site is not certain - is it on their registrar? Because if you search "reddeadonline" there is a lot of preemptive sites, subreddit with only one sub (the creator) etc - that could just be placeholder "in case" from someone trying to capitalize, where the early bird gets the worm. I haven't whois it yet.

Even if it is unofficial about the RD Online, my only hope is that they focus on the single player while offering MP content, they should please both SP & MP so everyone is happy. When you focus on so much of one side, people will most likely to lose interest despite increased spikes in demographics. Not everyone plays Online and there's still a relevant SP fanbase.

I really hope that this new RD won't have Online. GTA: Online was (and actualy still is) a total mess, IMHO, GTA IV was much simpler and thus better, without stupid restrictions and sh*t, I personally would prefer an old school TDM, CTF and whatnot any day.

Why?

 

This seems like a silly overreaction to me. Even if you don't like GTA Online, consider a few facts:

- We knew that any future R* release, including Red Dead 3, would include some kind of multiplayer. That's a no-brainer.

- GTA Online is not worlds away from Red Dead Redemption's multiplayer design anyway. It's got a lot more stuffed into it, and it's more MMO-ish in some respects, but the basic concept (with multiple lobbies, free roam as a hub from which you can engage in activities with other players or launch jobs) is how this would have worked no matter what.

- If you're worried about cash cards or whatever, they will almost certainly be optional just like they are with GTA:O. And the kind of sh*t people used to do in RDR multi - riding around and shooting each other over and over - will be basically free, just like it is in GTA:O.

- The game will certainly still have single player, just like GTA V does. The Housers like to write stories and Redemption was renowned first and foremost for the story of John Marston. No matter how much cash they've raked in from shark cards, this franchise is still likely to be driven by single player even more so than GTA is (or was).

- If you think Red Dead Online would prevent them from making paid DLC for single player... well, that is probably true. But RDR only had one lone DLC anyway and it was short compared to the main game. Not the end of the world IMO, though I did enjoy Undead Nightmare a lot.

- And finally... even if they model a Red Dead Online after GTA Online in some or many ways, we don't have a clue how different it will end up being. It's a different game made by a different studio. Mellow out until we actually know something. The mere word "Online" tells me very little at this point.

Probably because most don't know about Revolver.

 

Edit: could of sworn I saw a 2. This would be the 3rd game in the Red Dead series regardless of them not using numbers.
