Dont get me wrong im just asking for a taste of it. Im not saying add flying metal horses. But maybe a few references, maybe a online weapon or 2. Nothing too crazy but at the same time keeping the authenticity of the west.

This is a video game dog. R* are known to push the envelope a bit. U acting like i said dinosaurs or some sh*t lol. Steampunk western concepts are not far fetched not by a long shot.

Being a video game and being grounded in reality arent mutually exclusive "bruh".

They're making a western thats realistic to its era. Were there cowboys running around with steampunk weapons back then? They might as well throw in planes or some sh*t.

And R* 'pushing the boundaries' doesnt mean f*cking up the entire essence of the game. Thats not how boundary pushing works. And yes, they are far fetched for RDR.

 

Lets just hope R* doesnt do any of that sh*t

I am speaking for myself. The most realistic (and logical) choice that R* can make is to NOT go that route.

"NPC's live their lives!"

 

But in Redemption, they actually did live their lives. Every town had its own distinct population and characters, each with his/her own model, name and daily routines defined by state machines. I'm not going to discuss how it's difficult, or even impossible, to have this type of 'live' world in the urban settings that Grand Theft Auto features, because it's self-explanatory, but it's healthy to expect more involved community life in Redemption 2, improving on what Redemption has already featured.

Maybe a vampire killer DLC except rather than tongue-in-cheek like Undead Nightmare, play it dead serious. They actually made vampire kits back in day, probably sold as novelty items.

Speaking of bait. I once was hunting cougars in RDR1 and I had placed down some bait to attract their attention. Well, not a single one showed up... or so I thought. Anyways, I was running towards my horse when out of nowhere a cougar showed up and absolutely destroyed me before I could get on my horse. I didn't even hear or see him coming until it was too late.

^ They're like that. I used to warm up for HC Freeroam by going to Silent Stead and standing my ground. Not easy to do, several deaths by cougar by the time I finished.

As far as I am aware, it's not against the rules here to not credit your sources when you make videos like what LegacyKillahHD makes. It is frowned upon though.

 

Edit: Just reread the rules and as long as he doesn't claim the work of others as his, he won't be breaking any rules here. Otherwise he'll be breaking the "No Ripping" rule if he does.

Do you think we'll see the songs return from Red Dead Redemption? What I think would be interesting is if they included modern songs which fit the story - but all covered in the manner of the old West.

I'd be fine with modern music if they did it like they did before. A couple lesser known songs at key moments. I don't want to hear covers of popular music though.

 

The reason that worked in Westworld was because it was supposed to take you out of the moment and remind the audience that this wasn't really the Wild West. I don't think that would work the same in a video game that's meant to immerse you in it's world.

I still wont believe it until I see it. Never trust Rockstar PR. That line was an absolute lie

thats what happens when you show nothing but apathy towards your fanbase. Why care about us when they can put minimal effort into GTAO and not have to make another game in their lives?

Have you played Watch Dogs 2? It came closer to a living breathing world than Rockstar ever has. The NPCs in that game actually do things together instead of mindlessly grunting about hipsters while cycling through 3 robotic idle animations.

It's that time again where I am waiting every Tuesday and Wednesday. Gta online updates should not get in the way.

 

They can't keep waiting for a free week with out any gta online bonuses, events , cars. That isn't going to happen there always will be something gta online related.

 

I don't believe that theory at all where rockstar need to wait to post about RDR2 that doesn't clash with gta online updates. Not true
