I'd like to imagine Sony showed up at R*'s doorstep with a huge sack of money to have the next trailer at their E3 conference.

There obvisouly has to come 'something' the next few days, weeks leading up to E3.

My bet is that they show off RDR2 with a new 2:00 minute trailer at the Sony stage during the E3 PlayStation press conference.

Then they'll post it on their newswire saying ... lot's more to come in the coming weeks and months.

Then GI announces RDR2 as their August cover story!

I am watching the E3 just for Bethesda and Sony.

Let's hope that when they finally do decide to talk, they'll have enough news and media to keep us entertained until launch, when that time comes, we gotta run and don't look back.

Ok, so let's do some speculation while i'm (we're?) waiting for the Destiny stream to start.

 

Fall 2017. That's from September 22 till December 21.

I personally believe both November and December are not a viable option, December is too late and November is too packed. That leaves about a 5 week window for the game to release. Let's say mid October. This means the game will have to go gold around mid September.

The game would have to be 4 months away from completion, so that means the final stages of development, mostly polishing. In other words, it MUST be ready to show off at this point, unless they are indeed holding back for a big E3 (sony conference) blowout, If not, well, get ready for a huge delay.

Personally, I believe the game was already on the brink of completion when we got the first trailer.

I also feel the window R* need was only to polish the game or extensive Online development. I truly believe if they're was a delay, I would think it wouldn't be professional to not say absolutely nothing by now. And I agree with a release from Nov-Dec but anything could happen but i kno a delay aint happening idgaf what anyone say lol.

I mean obviously, they already announced their partnership (some DLC first) way back on October 20th and said trailer was running on PS4 version.

This was me after I had looked at their post today and hearing the excitement from fans on Destiny 2's stream. hahah (I'm still crying on the inside)

I would love to say before the call, but I'm just going to just sit back and observe and see what R* will do with Red Dead Redemption 2's marketing. I personally don't think there could have been a better day than today to release new information. Missed opportunities is something Rockstar will never miss.

It's not healthy for my well being to predict Rockstar's announcements, so goodbye from me until we get more information about Red Dead Redemption 2

Dude i agree with what you say but 15million sales over 10yrs is not a beloved franchise to the public. I am talking about the public, not us sheep posting in this thread, Yes all of us in here think RDR is great, but i know tons people who own GTA that would never touch RDR, cause they are not into westerns. Plus Rockstar only has 5 or 6 games, they are beloved to Rockstar fans. You just love Rockstar too much my friend.

What year are you in? RDR came out in 2010 and it isnt 2020. Also, GTA3's lifetime sales on PC PS2 and Xbox combined are lower than that so by your backwards ass logic, GTA3 wasnt a big game changer for R* then.

What are you on about? RDR is THE Western game. And its the best one at that too

Speculating but I think it's possible that one of the reasons they're always so hesitant to share even a couple of screenshots because they're constantly filling out the environments till very late, we all know how much detail they pack into their worlds and I can't imagine they finish that job till late in development. So it's not unreasonable to think that they don't want to share shots of the game of environments and locations till they're as close to done as possible.
