PS4 bundle and marketing rights. Basically when the rerelesse of GTAV was being advertised it was always ending with the PlayStation logo and bundle.

 

It obviously helped because the attach rate to PS4 and sales of GTAV went hand in hand.

I'm thinkin that it would be much better outcome for Singleplayer story mode gamers such as myself if the benz had little or no influence on this game's development as he was the main guy pushing the massive over-focus on the Online with GTA V.

I don't get it, GTAO is great imo. It has its flaws yea. But i mean, what game dont? I'm honesty anticipating RDO big time, and I'm pretty sure even if the Benz wasn't there it still would be a strong focus on online. Sometimes You gotta take the good with the bad. The more wacky stuff is fine, as long as it stays in its own game modes. I don't mind stuff like cunning stunts or Tron knockoff #496 because it has its own mode. If that stuff was available in free mode, it'd be a different story.

 

Funny and crazy stuff is fine, as long as it doesn't infect the more serious modes.

I don't really see how they could add wacky stuff to Red Dead Online unless of course they add Super mega steroids horse that shoots flames out of it's mouth and flies.

If the world design is on the level of Call of Juarez Gunslinger it will look insane. When I think of atmospheric world i think we won't be seeing anything ever seen before. I would love to see blizzards, Tornados, flash floods, things like that. Not just the cliche Night and day cycle and weather. Maybe you can get hypothermia or something from not dressing accordingly in the mountains or something. I think would be cool imo.

Considering Dan and Sam needed Benz's help on the 1st Red Dead, I'm extremely sceptical on this, I bet if Benz still worked for R* we have have seen a 2nd trailer already

And what does the Benz, Sam or Dan have anything to do with this? We've already seen trailer 1 without the Benz and it looked gorgeous, so why not or why how? The fact is, and it's a fact, there's a whole marketing department in Rockstar and they're the one responsible for not getting trailer 2 out yet.

No 1 person is responsible for creating everything in game development. Leslie just had the charisma, management and knack to wrangle a team and get the best results. Something he obviously did for the GTA series and according to him, he helped the San Diego team when they hit a wall.

 

Rockstar is made up of hundreds if not thousands of individuals now across 10 studios. I think they'll manage without the benz.
