I think BLOOD deserves a medal for being Take Two's biggest fan.

Honestly I second this. I don't really care much for TT or their financials, expansion prospects but it's a sight more better than reading other members conspiracy theories or belly aching about marketing or Rockstar's "disrespect for fans" with their heads up their arses. lol

[BUT THE BENZ]

OH GUYS, my computer is running again, after a year of PS4 only....this is soooooo awesome! I was going to participate more in here and post this and that ( mostly THE BENZ stuff but whatever) but using the PS4 pad to post online is a NIGHTMARE....every post that was like....6 sentences or so....make that at least 5 minutes....I hated it....HATED it!

 

but THAT, is now in the past! might see more of me than just some 4 or 5 sentences of rambling about the benz in the future. I am sooo looking forward to this game and I really reeeeeally hope it is good and that the absence of the benz is not felt or visible in any way.... at least not on THIS game....goddamn I've bought the PS4 back then at launch not for GTA V - I did so because I knew then and there the next RD title would come a few years later! the official announcement made me happy, but seriously I KNEW it would come before that so it wasn't like my anticipation started back in october 2016. no sir, it was since I saw GTA V on the PS4....it triggered something in me, when I first saw mountains and the desert, the sky....and then I saw a new Red Dead game, looking this good, with these sizes of landscapes...oh god...and to just replace that SAD modern real life reflection setting with a simpler, more honest time, ooooooooh it could be THEeeee game for me!

 

anyhow, might not always have come across like that... but I think I'm craving this game more than anyone here

To be faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaair, when Rockstar do get going with it it's up with there with the best in the biz. The massive murals, TV spots, website take overs and all that jazz, we all love it. It's just they have to make us get to the point where we're frothing at the mouth with pure frustration and rage at the lack of information before they get it going.

Probably just maintenance, and due to the prolonged downtime, I'm assuming they're pushing yesterday's security update to their servers, due to the WannaCry attack. Rockstar run on Windows Server 2012, so they should be doing that.

Nice one DeeDogg_ and summary is: Zelnick is the single largest shareholder, he wants to turn Take-Two into a behemoth and it labels R* will always have the Housers, 2K will always have the Levines and Meiers. Any the company will always invest in growth.

Legend. Zelnick Jrs will be in charge 20 years from now. For a 59 year old industry vet he is also active and looks younger. Tbh i was off for two days. Good to be back

 

Edit: His two family trust owns 0.70% of the company while ZMC owns 2%. And he really does not get paid. He is slowing building Take-Two into a bigger company that will even rival his former employers at Fox. Praying God gives him and his family long life. And also we the fans long life.

He doesn't get paid but every year he sells a little bit of stock for money.

Zello: True that well he also moved 90k shares into the Zelnick Family Trust from Zelnick Media Corp. which owns ZMC which in turns owns 2% of Take-Two Interactive. He knows that by 2020, the company will be sitting on $2 billion in cash with $10-15 Billion in market value he does not want to get rich according to some analysts when price get to $90.00. He also knows the big boys over at Hollywood or Silicon valley will come knocking at New York so he is building a family business. If EA actually had bought Take-Two back in 2008, the latter will be the surving company via it Rockstar label or even keep their name while phasing the EA brand that was just when he became the largest shareholder. Now films and tv will be easy because via ZMC he could just sell his 50% stake in Fish Hook producer to Take-Two while increasing his own stake or just buy Lionsgate. The man is the best in the industry.

In all honesty Take2 Did an excellent job regarding Mafia III's promotion, it was everywhere. I'm sure when RDR2 Campaign gets rolling, it will be hard to miss due to it's anticipation, even more so if it's aiming to release In Fall with the heavy hitters.

I'm still very positive about May and news arriving before Take2's conference call. Lets just hope that the upcoming news is good enough to last another 6 months hahah.

It was less it getting overshadowed and more that it simply couldn't compete. It wasn't as good as Overwatch and wasn't made by one of the most popular video game developers in the world. When it was announced it was releasing that close to Overwatch everyone and their mother went "that won't end well for Gearbox" and who'da thunk it, they were all right. Gearbox completely f*cked it.

Jason: Now i see why you said two days ago that Take-Two buying Gearbox us just a waste (phrasing it in my own worlds). And that true but i want them to own full control of Borderlands.

 

Edit: It also have to do with management not caring about outside studios that why Turtle Rock had to be removed from Evolve and brought in-house over at 2K Games.
