What a day it will be when Rockstar finally releases anything RDR2 related.

A lot of younger gamers would be a lot more familiar with Destiny and Call of Duty than Red Dead. 18 year olds were 11 when Red Dead Redemption came out. 15 year olds were 8. That said, all those kids need to here is "it'll be like GTA but a Western" and they'll all migrate to Oklahoma in a heartbeat.

This is absolutely true. I'm 17 and was 10 at release. A friend gave me the game about a year after release, and I liked it then because it was a fun action game. It wasn't until about 2 years later while replaying it that I really fell in love with the game and appreciated its story.

As long as these young whippersnappers purchase and enjoy the game, that's all that matters. Us old dogs ain't gonna be around forever, so we need someone to come in and carry the torch. To convince the devs to make these sorts of games.

No. Bungie is showing off their gameplay of Destiny 2 on a livestream that day. I doubt Rockstar would want to rival that.

 

It's just a livestream showing off a gameplay trailer. The press and everyone attending can capture footage but it'll be a couple of days until they post it so it's not like a swarm of coverage and previews is going to hit next Thursday.

 

I mean you'd think the anniversary for a title getting a follow up this fall would get some kind of recognition that would segway into something for RDR2 like, maybe a release date and it's right before TT investor's call.

btw T2 has never revealed anything at a earnings call or conference. And T2 has nothing scheduled for the 18th.

highz: They release their Annual Reports (a booklet contain all about current and future strategies, revenue, shareholder letter, few pictures, subsidiaries etc. with pages at 120 plus) on that date every year and it five days- May 23rd- before their fiscal fourth quarter 2017, and a week-May 31st- before the Cowen Investors Conference.

He owns 2% of the company. However T2 operates like AB in that the labels are so autonomous and have their own studios and brands etc. They only Distribute, Marketing and Sales. At this point when Social Point mobile and NBA eSports become so big for them, R* and 2K Group will just be a bonus well GTA alone can become it own company worth $3 Billion. Nice Pic BTW.
